My wife and I booked a four hour tour. Our guide picked us up at the hotel right on time, he was very pleasant and a good conversationalist. My wife and I can not remember his name, but he was excellent. He was able to get us directly into the palace without waiting in any line. We chose to guide ourselves, so once we received the audio guide, we were on our way. The palace and grounds were amazing. There was so much to see and our only regret was that we should have booked the entire day. Once our short four hours were over, our guide picked us up and dropped us off where ever we wanted to go. It was truly an amazing tour.
Excellent experience. Our driver very prompt
and gave us terrific ride to Versailles.
He was a lovely driver and has a Super sense of humor,
Although the tour 14th Jun was cancelled because there was a strike at the palace the tour operator called to said they will monitor if the palace will be reopen again. We got a called later to said it was open and we was pick up to the palace. Upon reaching the palace, again the official from the palace announced they on strike again. The tour guide kept apologizing which was not his fault, very patient and friendly guide even suggested to bring us another place of interest but most prefer to return to our hotel. Throughout our journey to and from the palace he introduced along the way the building, structure, history of Paris etc Very knowledgeable.
Passionate enough to care of the older tourists on board. Wonderful guide everyone in the group like like. He even told us he will request the company to compensate us since the palace is closed and true enough we was given a full refund. Thank you Viator and their guide and operator.
I would highly recommend this tour. The lines were VERY long, but we were able to walk right in. There was plenty of time to explore on our own using an audio tour. Our driver/travel guide, Ercon was THE BEST!!!! He was at our hotel right on time and shared a ton of interesting information about the city, landmarks, and people. Ercon was extremely personable. He was funny and charming...a guide anyone would be lucky to have!
The whole experience was fantastic. It was well coordinated, and our guide was excellent. Skip the line was a great inclusion.
All venues which we used Viatior were very good and we had no bad experience with this service. We will use Viator in the future.
Our drivers were great. On time super information and madd sure we had no issues
This was a great tour. Our driver was on time to our hotel we were the first pickup and had a great personality during the drive to and from Versailles. Lots of interesting tidbits were shared on the drive to and from, and he was willing to drop us off at Montemarte instead of the hotel afterwards. Gave us some good tips for the Versailles tour like the hot chocolate at Angelina's and fought the other tour groups to get us in there and equipped with audio for our tours. Very glad we booked this!

We spent a wonderful day touring Versailles. Our driver/guide picked us up at our hotel and shared great general information about Paris, its history, and Versailles with the 8 of us in our van. It made the two-hour ride which was this long due to unusually bad traffic, caused by an accident seem much shorter than it really was. We arrived about an hour late for our tour time, so our guide stayed with us to make sure it was all worked out, and we were able to get started on our audio tour. At this time, he left us and returned about 4 hours later. The audio tour was perfect for us--it allowed us to do it at our own pace took about 1.5 hours and with a narrated audio description which was very easy to understand. After the tour, we had lunch at Angelina, at the suggestion of our guide. It's famous for its hot chocolate and desserts. We passed on the hot chocolate, as it was quite warm that day. The restaurant is inside the castle. At lunch, we enjoyed foie gras, quiche lorraine, and croque monsieur's. There was also a good selection of wines. After lunch, we enjoyed the beautiful gardens. Then, we took the petite train. It's a little train which carries about 40 passengers around a circuit. Without stops, it would take 40 minutes. The cost was just 7.5 per person. Stops included the petite trianon, grand trianon, and grand canal. We stopped for refreshments at the grand canal. There are a couple of restaurants, a gift shop, and a place to rent little boats there. We were also able to photograph the floating waterfall close-up. The guide picked us on time around 4:00, and the ride back to our hotels was only about an hour. Overall, this was a great tour and a great day.
Isabella was amazing! He was so prompt and kind and funny! Loved his jokes. And I loved that he got us in and let us go do our thing - with recommendations about our time at Versailles AND the rest of our time in Paris. Thank you so much!!

I loved everything about this place, Stunning and the skip the line was fantastic
I highly recommend this tour! Our guide was a very knowledgeable Frenchman, with a delightful sense of humor, and answered countless questions from our hotel to Versailles. It was a great ride, which we shared with 2 other couples. He gave us inside information about how to navigate Versailles. He dropped us off at a back entrance and walked us through to the beginning of the tour. He let us know where and when to meet him. It is a truly amazing place and should NOT be missed. Book with Viator!!
Unfortunately I am unable to remember our tour guide's name, but he took very good care of us. The local tour agency first confirms pick up location a few days before, which was reassuring. Then during the pick up and drive to the Palace, tour guide was very informative about the history of France and the two main palaces. Once we arrived at the Palace, the lines were already full. After the tour, the line was even worse. Our driver recommended for us to try French Onion soup from a Café Bleu Roi nearby afterwards. It was a good snack in the middle of the day. When we were picked up, we were dropped off to a location of our choice in Paris. Overall, we were pleased.
Tour guide was extremely friendly and accommodating. This was well worth it as our guide parted the lined up crowds like the red sea and took us straight into the palace. NOTE: Tour doesn't include gardens or Marie's Estate/trianon so you'll spend around another 18-20 per person to see those. Rent a cart. You won't regret it
Opulent decor everywhere. Amazing experience. Our local guide was very helpful and pleasant.
Our guide, Eric, did an excellent job. He told us about all of the sites we were passing, got us right into Versailles, and was exactly where he said he would be when our tour was over. He even went out of his way to drop us off at another location on the way home. I would highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour- really saved time by not having to stand in line to get tickets. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and thorough. This was a great time. I highly recommend it.
Tour was great! The tour guide went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. There was a strike happening at the Palace and Viator and the guide ensured that our tour was rescheduled so that the time fit our needs. The palace was beautiful and it was great to be able to go at our own leisure and pace instead of a large group. Definitely worth having the transportation as it saved us a lot of time and was very comfortable.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. We were emailed the day before with a 15 minute time slot when our driver would arrive at the hotel - he arrived promptly, was friendly, informative and helpful. He got us quickly inside Versailles and was at the pick up point when he said he would be - he was happy to drop us off at a different location in Paris after the tour rather than back at our hotel. Versailles was stunning - would highly recommend this tour.
Amazing tour and it was a great way to see other rooms that the general public could not view!
For our needs the half day was perfect. I was a little nervous about going in January, but Versailles was basically empty which made taking in the beauty super easy. The garden is open but obviously less impressive as it would be in the summertime and there is also some construction going on. The chilly day gave us a perfect excuse for a hot chocolate at Angelina. We were picked up in the proper time window, but arrived at Versailles a bit late given horrible traffic - no fault of our driver. Our driver was great--funny and informative. He walked us inside and told us exactly where to meet him. If you're looking to go to MA's Chateau on the half day option you'll need to fly through the palace in order to have time - the full day would allow you plenty of time for it, but we wanted to get back to Paris quickly. It was the right choice for us!
