We were in a semi private tour with Alex. He was extremely knowledgeable of the Louvres and Fine Art. He navigated us smoothly throughout the museum and connected the eras together seemlessly. We would definitely take another tour with Alex.
My husband and I enjoyed our tour of The Louvre with our guide, Felix. There were 6 of us in our tour group with Felix. We were all from the USA visiting Paris. It appeared as though none of us in the group were overly in to art, but we were all interested in soaking up what we could. The guided tour was perfect because it took us straight to the highlights. Feliz is very well versed in The Louvre. I perceived him as expert, he seemed to know everything. He was also friendly and conversational and made some jokes. I am glad he was our guide. An additional shout out to Felix because I had called him about 40 minutes before the tour began saying we might be 13 minutes late as we were delayed getting out of Versailles. Felix was encouraging. He let me know he could wait up to 15 minutes but if we were not there he would send us our tickets so we could still get in and check it out ourselves. I respected his willingness to be reasonable, but not have the rest of the group wait around. Also he provided a solution. We are happy with the tour and will reccomwnd to friends going to Paris. Thank you!
Taylor was an amazing tour guide. We were very well informed of the history of many pieces of the collection that we had wanted to see. She educated us on so many pieces and ensured our visit to the Mona Lisa. We are very pleased with our tour choice and would highly recommend her.
I highly recommend the Skip-the-Line Louvre Museum Guided Tour. Our guide, Belen, was fantastic! Not only was she quite knowledgeable on the art that were seeing but she also provide a great history of the Museum and France. This really allowed us to understand the importance of the Museum as well as the art that it contains.
I would also recommend the Skip-the-Line function as well as it was very crowded and this allowed us to get into the Museum quickly. The Semi-Private feature allowed the tour to be much more personalized as we were able to ask questions that you may not be able to ask in a large canned group tour. In addition, we were able to stay in the Museum after the tour and see other sections. Belen was wonderful at providing additional guidance on the other parts of the Museum!
We signed up for the semi-private tour (8-people). However, it turned out that we were the only family scheduled for the 5:00 pm tour. Therefore - it became a private tour. Marcel, our tour guide, was top notch. He really enjoys his job and that made the tour that much more fun and interesting.
I think that the evening tour is best due to the lesser amount of people in the evening. The mid-afternoon times are jam packed with scheduled tours - I don't recommend this time.
In addition, the tour operator could have easily cancelled our tour since we (family of 3) were the only ones scheduled for the 5:00 pm tour. However, the tour operator honored the tour and we appreciate that very much.. I'm betting other tour operators would have cancelled.
I would take this 5:00 pm semi-private tour again.
