The time from meeting our guide to standing on top of the tower was 1 hour! Some people probably wait that long to get through security! If you want to see the Eiffel Tower, this is the only way to do it!

It was very inconvenient not to know what time our ticket was for until late the night before. And why was it necessary to meet the Viator rep at a restaurant blocks away from the Eiffel Tower just to walk as a group there? What they don't tell you is that you skip one line to wait in another. So yes we waited and the view from the Summit was memorable.

Make sure you understand that you are paying a whole lot of money to be able to reserve a spot to the summit months in advance. This ticket is non-refundable, so, I was disappointed to learn that there was no guide, just a hassle-free ticket redemption process that you are not given a time for until 24 hours before your event date. That being said our ticket provider, Claire, was lovely, and she provided us wtih some interesting fun facts as we made our way over to the very hectic area of the base of the Eiffel Tower. This is a hot ticket item, and because there are only so many hours in a day, and a finite number of people that fit in that elevator that takes you all the way to the top, I understand the challenge. However, due to a misunderstanding and missed communication at the time I booked, I was under the impression that for the money being paid, there would be a tour guide. This ticket did not have a tour, only a person that met you outside the Eiffel Tower, gave you your tickets, and walked you over to the tower. That was not clear to me at the time of my purchase.

I paid over $232.00 US Dollars for two tours. The TWO DAY HOP ON HOP OFF Boat trip: When in line to board the Batobus, we were told our printed voucher from Viator had to be turned in at the ticket office for actual tickets. We turned in our vouchers, which clearly stated

It was very nice not to have to go the ticketing line. Also, when there, the ticketing line had sold out of summit entrance tickets, so it was great having these already. We did have to stand in line for the summit, but I must say, we met a very nice French lady and her daughter who were also going to the top! There were beautiful views. Weather was great! Believe it or not, when we got to the top it wasn't even crowded. My husband and I recommend this!

When I booked the tour, I told the person I had no email capability on Europe. She said just call the local number to get time and meeting location for the tour.
I tried to call the contact number given on my voucher to get my time and location to meet guide. Guess what? The phone has been disconnected, so I couldn't get my time slot or where to meet the guide. So I wasted my money, and my time with VIATOR.
That will not happen again.

I am going to take the trouble of posting this on Viator as well as on the customer service page. We - BEFORE making the bokoing on Viator - had confirmed on a long distance call with viator - that we can only make it for the 5:30pm tour and not earlier. This is cause we were landing into paris at 2pm and were infact coming to Paris for a day ESPECIALLY for this and flying out the very next day. The viator agent CALLED AND CHECKED this with the local agent in France who confirmed availablity, we then proceeded and made the payment. few hours before we boarded the flight we get an email saying that we need to meet our local agent at 10am - this was surprising as we wold be mid flight - we immediately replied that we had PRE BOOKED post checking for 5:30pm and not earlier. Despite this there was another email saying that we are a no show -

We reached the tower and then the meeting point by 4pm by taking an private taxi to save time.

I started calling the agent whose local number was provided and he was EXTREMELY RUDE and uncooperative. Despite calling and even giving the phone who translated our scenerio to him, he kept cutting our call and only kept repeating that we had to be at the meeting point at 10am. Clearly a communication gaop between Viator and this local agent was evident. The local agent even said its not my problem if you are tired and came on a flight - you cannot talk to me like that- we dont have any slots for 5:30pm

WHO DOES this agent think he is ? A demi God ? Who is the client here who is suffering cause of complete lack of communication ? ONLY to cool this agent down I had to Apologise to his lordship and after pampering his worthless ego - within MINUTES a lady landed up with our tickets after mentally torturing us for 2 hours. The tickets had NO NAMES on it- which clearly shows that he well had the tickets but OPTED TO HARASS us for no reason.

Shame on the agent and I would advice him to go to some other popular destination to learn how to talk to clients - and a thing or two in hospitality.

this completely ruined the experience and mindset for this experience and it was a waste of money, time and effort I put in for my wifes birthday. I wanted to make it special but the agent and lack of communication by Viator ruined it for us.

The worse part - even after the tour - when i had complained about non compliance on the part of the agent to customer service of viator - the agent has replied you was a no show - PATHETIC.

Not happy about this at all. We thought we would skip lines and get to the summit with ease. We waited in the same lines as the people that paid $25 a ticket. Our cost for a family of 4 through Viator was $377! Ridiculous. They also told us what time we had to go, we couldn't choose or sign-up for another time. NOT WORTH IT! I would not recommend.

We had some difficulties with the time which was supposed to be in the morning. We waited most of the day and we were finally accommodated around 5:30 in the afternoon. Kudos to the staff to make that happen. It was well worth it. My favorite part of the trip.

Do Not EVER use Viator. Worst ever tour company for anything. They never sent us a confirmation email and then expect us to miss out on our Eiffel Tower tour. I called them and got nothing but a run around like con artist. DO NOT EVER use VIATOR tours!!
