Although this trip seemed expensive it proved to be well worth it.
From being collected from our hotel in Paris and skipping the lines in Versailles it was a wonderful trip.
Our guide Audrey was amazing and very knowledgable and made the tour a great experience with her enthusiasm for the history of this fabulous palace.
Although you could possibly spend a day in the gardens alone we still found there was enough time to see everything before returning back to our hotel.
Would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who was thinking of visiting Versailles.
The entire staff from the drivers to the tour guide were excellent. Loved being picked up and brought back to our hotel! We also skipped the long lines that seemed to go on for miles. Those things alone was worth the cost of this tour. Kudos to everyone!!
Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The arrangements were delivered as advertised and the Palace and Gardens were beautiful. I would recommend this tour.
We liked the fact that we wee picked up at our hotel. The driver was very friendly and got us there on time inspire of heavy traffic. Our guide had great knowledge of the palace and guided us well through very heavy crowds.
First Note: Versailles is a very extensive complex. Skipping the line with this tour and then having half a day to explore on our own was still not enough time to relax much, but we got it done. Our friend's fitbit said we walked about 7 miles in total. The morning started with our knowledgeable guide Reuben taking us through the main Palace at a reasonable pace given the crowds. Using the earphones for his narration, the units were some of the smallest we have used and worked great. We then had 5 hours to explore the other palace rooms, gardens, and Trianons with time for a bite to eat on our own. Just be prepared for the crowds if you go in the summer.
While there were lots of people visiting Versailles on the day we were there, it was an excellent tour with a very knowledgeable and personable guide.
Versailles is such a huge place it was great to have an experienced guide to show you all the rooms and explain the features to you. Security before you go into the building is confusing and should have been explained better but the rest of the trip was great. Audiotours are available also at an extra price but I think that the personal tour is better as you have a chance to ask questions. Our driver was great and there was plenty of free time to explore the gardens if you wished or to have some lunch in a nearby cafe.
So glad we did this tour with pickup and drop-off at our hotel. Even though it was raining and cold, there were long lines - so glad we had priority access. The guided tour inside the palace was very informative and then we were on our own until 5:00pm to tour the rest of the grounds. Despite the rain, we walked all over and took the train to the Trianons and the Queen's Village.
Book this tour for my mom and her husband, late 70's, they really enjoyed it. Pick up was on time and mom mentioned the staff was very nice. Thank you Viator!
Our guided tour was a great way to visit the Palace of Versailles. The priority access represented excellent value as the queues were extremely long. They extended the length of the courtyard in front of the Palace, which is considerable. The headsets ensured that we could hear all the important points. Our guide was knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the important points. The gardens are enormous and a destination on their own. A great trip and highly recommended tour
