What You Can Expect

Versailles Small-Group Tour from Paris with Audio Guide

Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

Half-Day Tour:
Select either a morning or afternoon tour and depart from your Paris hotel bound for Versailles. Your host for the trip will give you recommendations about planning your Versailles visit and provide you with an audio guide for a tour of the palace and gardens. The guide is available in eight languages, so you can explore Versailles without a tour guide.

The half-day tour includes time to see Louis XIV’s Royal Apartments, the apartments of the Dauphin and Dauphine as well as the often-photographed Hall of Mirrors. The duration of the visit at Versailles is roughly two hours.

Full-Day Tour:
The full-day experience starts with a 1-hour guided tour of the Palace of Versailles. See the lavish Royal Apartments, the Queen’s Bedroom, the Gallery of Battles and the famous Hall of Mirrors. After the tour, stop for lunch at La Petite Venise restaurant.

Following lunch, head into the expansive gardens of Versailles. On Saturdays and Sundays from April to October, watch a show of the garden’s fountains set to music. Make a brief detour to the Queen’s Hamlet, a private retreat for Marie-Antoinette in the 1780s. Then, join your guide for a 1-hour tour of the Grand Trianon, the private palace retreat for both Louis XV and Louis XVI.

Tour guide Manuel was extremely nice and went overboard at showing us around Paris since we were doing well time wise. Museum itself is amazing! If you plan to see the Trianons too, book a whole day visit as they only only open at noon.

Great guide, comprehensive tour. Picked up and returned to our accommodation. Versailles is over-the-top magnificent. Extra crowded because we were there on a Sunday when the fountains are on. The palace is only the start. The gardens and fountains go on forever. Enjoyed lunch then toured the quieter Grand and Petit Trianons and finished with Marie Antoinette's farm - like a fairy tale village. Well worth a whole day.

Very well organised with a driver who gave us full background and history on the way to Versailles. We waited a very short time before entering the palace when we left the queue was enormous! All very well ordered and everything ran to time. A great time!!
