This tour was truly incredible. Cian was our guide and he was so knowledgeable and personable. We rode the train from the bike shop which was very easy to find to a village outside Versailles, picked up our bikes and our first stop was at a little farmer's market. Here, we picked up the odds and ends for our picnic and Cian was very helpful in where to pick up bread, cheeses, meats and wine. We then had our tour around the Versailles property with tops in between where Cian would tell a very interesting story about its history. It was such a memorable experience and if you take the tour-try to get Cian! He is great!!! Also-my friend and I are not extremely fit and certainly not with bikes and this tour was very manageable.
Tour was excellent, guide was good, we spent time at the market compared to biking....palace was amazing but on the weekend too crowded but only inside the palace apartments
We had a great time and our guide was knowledgeable. Our two children age 11 and age 6 loved the bike tour too. It met our goal of having and active day while taking in culture. I would definitely recommend this excursion.
Absolutely amazing! 100 recommend this to anyone of any age. Our tour guide was phenomenal a young Irish man who I have forgotten the name of, he was so enthusiastic, entertaining and factual. The entire experience from start to finish was one I will never forget. The bike ride is extremely tame so anyone can manage it. This tour was the highlight of my Paris trip. Thank you to our wonderful tour guide and my apologies for my bad memory with names!
We toured Versailles with Cian, who was an excellent guide. The description on the website is accurate in terms of the plans for the day. But what you have to experience first-hand is the beautiful scenery and the knowledgeable tour guides. Versailles is a truly beautiful town.
This tour was awesome. Our tour guide Allen was so engaging and informative. Picnicking by the canal was so memorable. Seeing Versailles by bike is the way to go! Loved it!
Pretty good tour! Tour guide Louis was very helpful, nice, and funny too! All in all, would definitely recommend for anyone who likes to be active.
Had such a great time on this tour! Was worried id be to unfit but i wasnt. Was like being a kid again riding around on a bike. Made great new friends from every corner of the world and learnt so much. Was a fun history lesson without any boring bits.
Will have to try another 1 next time.Thank you x
wonderful day visiting Versailles. Loved being able to see the gardens, canal, Petit Trianon and the village behind it. As well as have a picnic lunch overlook the palace and finally seeing the palace.
It was the highlight of my trip! We had Pete for our tour guide and he was fantastic! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour!
By far my favorite day in Paris! Why walk Versailles when you could bike? Plus, there is no way you could have seen what we saw in one day if you didn't bike that trail with us. Rolling green fields, Marie Antoinette's hideaway and her personal play place, the pools. Nick, our guide, was great with his jokes. And I loved the market that we stopped at to get our lunch. Nick sent us on a scavenger hunt for the best of the market place. It was so much fun, and I will never forget that experience.
The bike tour around the Versailles gardens and palace was great. We had a very entertaining guide and met some great people. It was so nice to get out into the countryside and it was a perfect tour for my 20 year old daughter who enjoyed meeting other teenagers of a similar age travelling with their parents.
This was our favorite tour! We met at the office then took the RER together to Versailles. After picking up our bikes, we cycled to the market where we bought food meat, cheese, bread, olives, fruit and, of course, wine for the picnic. Mostly cash only. ATMs near by. Buy the banana and nutella crepe for breakfast at the market. We toured Marie Antoinette's Estate and saw the Grand Trianon from the outside. The ride around and the picnic at the end of the canal was amazing. Our tour guide David, an Aussie, was great! Thanks for the history lessons! The group was left to tour the palace and gardens on our own. Plenty of time to see and experience everything. You do not need to be a pro cyclist but be comfortable on a bike. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Wonderful full day trip including a visit to the local Versailles farmers market to get lunch supplies, a biking tour of the grounds with history provided by an impressively knowledgeable tour guide Cian, picnic and then visit to the palace. Very worthwhile and full day. The history provided by the guide gives a lot of good context to what you are seeing.
This is such a great tour to do. The bike riding around the grounds is just a lovely way to spend the day. The grounds are extensive, the stories from our guide were so enjoyable and interesting, the market in Versailles is a wonderful experience also. Do try the sweet crêpes from the market. The riding is easy for those not experienced, although you do need to ride on the road for a short way, don't be put off by this. The palace itself is amazing, an amazing legacy for the current population of France. This is the second time I have done this tour, I really recommend this experience.
I am unable to rate this because the tour was cancelled because of a union strike at Versailles
I can say that our guide was awesome and offered us many options once the news came thru and made every effort to show us to make us happy
Threatening weather in the week the Seine flooded looked like it was to be a testing day but it was great. Cian our guide was fantastic and Versailles spectacular. Market and picnic fun. Bike riding a hoot! Would recommend
We had a wonderful day touring Versailles with a fantastic tour guide Nate! Taking a bike was definitely the way to go... we got to see so much more of the grounds and eat lunch from a much better vantage point across the Grand Canal with a direct view of the Palace. The time at the market in the town was really cool too. We learned so much! It was a long day with a fair amount of biking and a lot of walking including the palace tour, so I would recommend this to anyone that is able to handle light-to-moderate exercise. Super fun!
This tour was awesome! Our guide, Unite, was terrific. After meeting at the tour office, we rode the metro to where the bikesthey have baskets were staged then bicycled to the farmer's market to buy picnic supplies. This market is great! It has foods, wine, flowers, crepes, chocolate, coffee and more. Then we rode to Versailles and saw some of the grounds, gardens, village and homes. After a nice lunch along the grand canal, we rode a little more then saw the palace on our ownticket included in the price of tour. After seeing the palace, you can get a snack or coffee in the cafe before leaving. Unite did a great job explaining what we were seeing and giving us some history lessons. I had a lot of fun on this tour! I would recommend this tour instead of just seeing the palace because you see and do so much more.
Wonderful day with tour guide Luca. Well planned and led. Information given just right amount. Cycling and picnicking at the lake unforgettable. Our family with children aged 18 and 10 all thought this was one of the best days we have had.
Cycling not difficult.
Absolutely beautiful tour of the grounds - wouldn and #39;t have seen most of that beauty that day if we wouldn and #39;t have done the biking tour.
Excellent tour! The guide, Unity, did a fantastic job. Keeping 20 people together on bikes on the city streets was a challenge. She kept us all together and always a watchful eye to make sure the stragglers were safe. Great information given and loved the market place.
The best part of our trip was this day tour. Our Guide was fabulous we all felt like we were in the Sound of Music the scenery was that wonderful and beautiful...and the market where we bought our lunch in Versailles was Fabulous, we bought the most wonderful pate's and cheese, baguette and croissants and the absolute Sweetest raspberries any of us have ever eaten. They grow differently up there! FABULOUS.
I can't imagine what I missed out on had I not gone on this tour. There is no way you could have seen these grounds and understood all of the magnificence that is Versailles. Our favorite part besides riding the bikes was the picnic over looking the canals. This was the best part of our European travels.
