If you want to see the best of Versailles, then this is the way to go! We were only 4 on the VIP tour and we got to access rooms/halls that is not open to other visitors. We don't have to fall in line unlike the other visitors so we have the Hall of Mirrors by ourselves. If you'd have other tour than this, it can get extremely crowded since there are literally thousands of visitors per day and you'd want to appreciate and take in the beauty of the Palace but you can't do that when you are restricted to do so because of the huge number of people inside. For me, the only way you can truly appreciate the exquisiteness of the Palace is through this tour. Thanks to our guide as she answered my questions well.
Only way to experience Versailles, no lines, no waiting, just amazing to jump back in history.
As with the other 4 days we were directed around all of the long lines and went behind the scenes to areas restricted from normal tours. The guide was a Versailles guide who provided a lot of history which actually helped prepare for the visit to the Louvre.

Wonderful tour of an amazing place. Seperate guide inside the palace, who was excellent. Private viewing was well worth it, using side passages to move around the palace was great. Guide on the bus to and from Versailles was OK, although problems getting access to breakfast saw hot beverages coming out as we were being rushed to start the tour - that aspect was not very good at all, but evertyhtning else was terrific.
Excellent service all around. From pick up to drop off, Julien was great. Even went sightseeing on way back to avoid traffic! Once at Versailles our guide was so knowledgeable and patient with us and all our questions. So glad we took this tour....no line ups and we had access to the off limit areas. Just wish we had more time to see everything..
perfect tour! Both the van driver and the tour guide at Versailles were wonderful. It was great to go to parts of the palace that no on else was in. It was very educational as well. My only suggestion would be to leave just a few more minutes for the breakfast/coffee. That was just a bit rushed.
This is a must. We were the first group to get the tour that day. Only 10 of us were in the Hall of irrors.
This tour is a. Use. Only 10 of us were in the Hall of irrors at the beginning. At the end of the tour, when we had free time, we could hardly move in the Hall.
Seriously wow! One of a true authentic experience! However, I was charged for the garden once again although it's included in my price! But I wouldn't let a 10 Euro make me unfair for what was a great day!
This tour was incredible! We had a comfortable, spacious coach take us to Versailles and enjoyed a light breakfast when we got there. Our guide on the way was very informative. Once at Versailles we got another guide and he was great. He had so much knowledge and interesting stories. We skipped all of the lines and went to areas the general public isn't allowed into. After the tour we had free time to explore the gardens and other areas. Everything was timed perfectly with just enough free time to explore on our own. This is the only way to see Versailles. Loved it!
Our VIP tour was fantastic from beginning to end. Our bus driver Julien gave a highly entertaining and informative commentary on the way to and from Versailles. Upon arrival we enjoyed a delicious light breakfast at Cafe Ore.
We passed through security quickly. The tour was wonderful. We were able to visit many rooms that weren't available to the general public, so in many instances we were the only people in the rooms we were viewing. Our guide was excellent and obviously very knowledgable about Versailles. At the conclusion of the tour we had access to the gardens which were stunningly beautiful. By the time we left Versailles the queue to enter was extremely long.
I highly recommend paying to skip the queues but value even more highly the opportunity to view the private quarters.
Excellent tour and worth the money , did not deal with the crowds . Great guides
The viewing of Versailles was fantastic. Especially when you realize how much more you see compared to the other tourists. Avoiding the lines was also one of the best parts.
Worth the extra. You get to see SO MUCH that others don't. Plus, Julian is a silver fox.
Fantastic. Getting in before the crowds is a must if you want to see Versailles without being squashed. The tour guide inside the palace was very good, giving a great insight into everything.
This tour was outstanding. Transport from Paris in a brand new 15 person van. Driver gave an excellent commentary in the way.
Upon arrival at Versailles we were taken up to a restaurant for pastries/drinks. The tour description made it sound like the driver would buy you a croissant at a crowded cafe. This was a white table cloth restaurant with baskets of pastries, and table service for drinks. Clean washrooms available as well.
The tour was well organized and truly was skip the line and behind the scenes access. Versailles was packed with people and it was great to get into the closed areas where we didn't share the rooms with any other groups.
Honestly, this tour was WAY more than I expected! There were only 6 of us in this amazing tour and it's hard to even put in words how fabulous it was. In a nutshell, private driver picked us up in Paris and drove us directly. He Kevin was wonderful and so informative on the drive. We arrived early so he took us into the King and Queens stables as a bonus. We then met our tour guide for the most amazing private tour of the Palace. She had keys that opened doors that no one could go in. We saw private rooms that were not a part of the regular admission. She took us in the chapel everyone else was behind ropes and into the King's private box in the theater. This tour was worth every single penny and I would gladly do it all over again. Only negative would be that I wished it lasted longer. Even my 20 year old daughter who was so tired of history for 2 weeks of travel, said that it was her favorite thing we did during our European vacation. We both wanted to spend more time at Versailles
It's a great way to see Versailles. The crowds are intense, the lines are super long for entry. So you do want to skip the lines. Once at Versailles, a Versailles guide took over and showed us the rooms. We had a lovely quick snack before. Time to explore the grounds on our own after.
Excellent experience- great to skip those incredibly long lines. And always better to visit historic sites with a knowledgeable tour guide- well done!
The small-group tour with access to the Royal Quaters was amazing. Tour guide was excellent. This is the only way to visit Palace of Versailles. However, plan for a second trip to visit all the gardens. There is simply not enough time to see everything in one day, yet alone one week.
This tour was amazing and worth every penny. We got a great ride from Paris to Versailles with a great guide and he gave us a lot of information relating to Paris and specifically about Versailles. When we arrived we got to go in a different entrance than the rest of the tourists and we got our own guide and we also got to go places that the regular tour didn't.
I highly recommend this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat!

5 stars isn't enough. To be able to go behind closed doors, miss the crowds, see the Chapel, etc. was worth every penny. Our guide at the Palace was one of the best we have ever experienced.
It was very good. From 8 am to 3 pm might seem long, but the palace and #39;s garden is amazing. The garden is the best part where there golf cars you can rent and boats in addition to restaurants. Thanks to Julien (drove us to the venue and provided a lot of info) and Alexis (tour guide), very nice people
