What You Can Expect

After hotel pickup, your private tour begins at your first stop, Kapitan Keling Mosque on Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling (aka Pitt Street). The largest historic mosque in George Town, the site was founded by an Indian Muslim leader in the early 1800s.

Next visit Little India, a neighborhood within central George Town. Similar to other Little India districts around the world, the area is home to shops and restaurants run by the Indian community. Enjoy scents of spices, catch music drifting out of eateries and take in the bustle of life along the sidewalks. You’ll enjoy an Indian snack, roti canai and teh tarik, at a restaurant.

Continue to Sri Mahamariamman Temple, located in George Town. The oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia, it features a façade of god and goddess sculptures and dates back to 1801 as a place of worship. Before your tour ends, enjoy time to do some shopping for local goods.

Please note: Sri Mahamariamman Temple is under construction until further notice and will be replaced by Sri Meenakshi Hindu Temple.
