Learn the basic skills for paddleboarding then set out on the river with the guide
Make your own way to Point Walter, located on the south shore of the Swan River in the Perth suburb of Bicton. Meet your SUP instructor and receive the provided equipment for your lesson. Start by learning board control, how to paddle on your knees, and the foundational skills like foot placement and self-rescue. Put your new skills in practice by following your guide along the river. Along the way you'll see boats near Blackwall Reach and find quiet beaches where you can rest. Take in the tranquility of this section of the river, listen to tips from your guide, and put your skills to the test with some races and games. After two hours, return to your starting point to end your tour.
