An excellent tour for anyone who is interested in the history of retailing in America. Our tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and happy to answer all of our questions. He pointed out many interesting architectural aspects of the Wannamaker Building which Macy's now occupies on Market Street. A special treat was going into areas of the building that are generally off limits to the public particularly the special occasion rooms. And anyone who is a fan of organ music should visit the store just to hear the organ in the store being played and then take the tour to learn about the history of the organ in the store and how much regular maintenance that the organ needs to undergo.
