We enjoyed seeing the city from the top of their double decker bus. We appreciated the information shared by the tour guides. We went on two separate days and learned something new each day. The guides provide their own unique value. It is a good over view when you first arrive.
Our tour guide was amazing - her amusing anecdotes and stories attested to her great depth of knowledge about Philadelphia. Her personal stories were particularly interesting. Our only constructive feedback was that it didn't always run on time, which made things a bit hard when the weather was frigid.
Great value for money and tour guides really good. Great way to see Philadelphia if you have a short stay.
This is the easiest way to get around to the top attractions in the city.
Excellent! The Viator experience is never disappointing. I would recommend Viator to everyone in every city where it is available.
My mom who is 86 and I bought the two-day pass. Every guide we had was phenomenal and we hopped-on and hopped-off many different times. Since my mom has to use a walker or wheelchair most of the time it was a great way for her to see all of Philadelphia and not feel like she'd missed anything. The employees were great about loading her collapsible, manual wheelchair on and off for us. The first day I sat on one side of the tour bus and the second day I sat on the other to get a different perspective. Highly recommend sitting on top if possible for an unobstructed view. The tour the first day gave us an insight on sites we might want to investigate in depth. The only negative I had was trying to figure out where to pick a bus the very first time. Once you get one of their brochures it tells you the cross streets where the bus picks up and you begin to see which bus sign to look for. It's been three weeks now since we took the tour and my mom still raves to everyone we meet about how great the bounce-on, bounce-off tour and guides were!
The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This is a great value for the price. We hopped off to what we wanted up close, then hopped on to see the rest of the city from the comfort of our seats.
The weather was perfect, the commentators were so informative and easy to understand. A great way to show a first time visitor to Philly what an interesting place it is.
This is a great way to start in any city. We took the entire tour then mapped out our visits. All the tour guides were knowledgeable, but by far the best was Z. She was knowledgeable, fun and had great suggestions. She made you feel how wonderful the city can be. definitely the way to go! Highly recommend this tour. If you take this tour, get there for the first bus and make sure you have Z!
Many Hop-Off, Hop-On tours I've taken just have the prerecorded script that you listen to with a headset.
Standing O to Jay who did a superb job today! His small details interested us and he was very knowledgable.
LOVE doing these types of tours. No stress from driving, you can come on and off at your leisure and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to tour a city.
This was hands-down the best one we've done, and we've done many domestically as well as internationally!
Way to go, Jay!
Excellent way to navigate the city! Suggest you take the entire trip first and then go to the sights of most interest. We took the two day pass and could have used a three day pass, if we had additional time. The guides are clear in speech and provide interesting facts about the city and sights. With each guide, you get different tidbits of information. The buses are in good condition. They make frequent circles around the route. One never has to wait long. The employees are service oriented and are visible at stops where tickets are sold so you don't have to go looking for someone to serve you. We have taken these types of tours all over the world. This is the best overall we have experienced.
The guides were knowledgeable. We were able to get off at all the stops where we wanted a more in-depth look. I would suggest reviewing the route prior to boarding so you have an idea where you may want to get off. Sometimes the tour guide made something interesting that you had not considered, then you feel compelled to get off. Great experience. Wonderful introduction to a city.
Loved the tour and the guides. They were knowledgeable and very helpful! The bus was very convenient to use. We will definitely use this again on our next visit.

We spent three days in Philadelphia with our three granddaughters, ages 10,11, and 12, the last weekend in July 2017. The Hop-On Hop-Off was a great way to see and learn about the city. It was a highlight of the trip along with The Mint, the National Constitution Exhibit, the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Note, tickets to Independence Hall provide half-price admission to The National Constitution Exhibit. Although a must, Reading Terminal Market was a bit overwhelming for our group.
We took the train to and from our hotel near Reading Terminal Market and the airport. It was a good option for a party of five. We ordered tickets to Independence Hall on-line prior to the trip. We were thankful not to have to stand in the ticket line. The Liberty Bell line was very long on Friday and Saturday. We decided to try early Sunday morning and experienced a very short wait. Be aware The Mint is closed on Sunday.
we were able to really get a good look at Philly by means of the Hop On Hop Off trolley. Would recommend this particular tour for any city before you set out for individual explorations. It gives such an overview of everything. We took it first to get the lay of the land there and then took it to get to specific destinations. We have also used the Viator tours in other places in the world and found them to be the best.
One of the best tours I have been on. Highly informed tour guides with the exception of one. Even the bus driver advised a couple to get off and take another bus!!! I won't comment further as this driver was pretty rude to the guide and a pedestrian!! Guess she was having a bad day. We had a two day pass and got off and on many times to see the sites. Since our hotel was within a block of one of the stops, we used this as our means of transportation which worked out great.
Absolutely great experience! Never had to wait but a few minutes for a bus with knowledgeable, entertaining and customer oriented guides!
My husband and I just recently did the 3-day pass over the July 4th holiday and loved it !!! Would highly recommend this tour.
I'm a Philadelphia native, so I appreciated the knowledge of the stops of the tour that they personalized. I little extra tid-bit that went beyond what one would find in a brochure.
