Anguilla Day Trip from St Maarten Including Lunch

Fun & Friendly Crew!
© Viator

Either the tour company will pick you up at your hotel in St Maarten (see Important Info for included hotels) or you'll make your way to Simpson Bay's Pelican Marina to board your boat.

Find a spot in the sun or shade on the decks of the luxurious catamaran, the 'Lambada,' and enjoy the scenery as the boat sails up the western coast of the island to Plum Point, then across the channel to the neighboring island of Anguilla. Get to know your friendly crew and drink a few rum punches open bar on the way to your first stop, Prickly Pear Island.

The boat will moor at Prickly Pear, a small uninhabited cay off of Anguilla, so you can enjoy the quiet and solitude among the white sand and palm trees. Slip on some of the provided snorkel equipment and dive in, or simply swim up to the beach to lounge in the bathwater-warm shallows. Snorkelers will float among the vibrant coral and groups of darting tropical fish. The crew may instead steer the boat towards the reefs off Prickly Pear Cay, depending on the weather and conditions.

After your visit to Prickly Pear Cay and its surrounding reefs, climb back aboard the boat and dry out in the sun as the captain steers towards Road Bay, a lively stretch of beach on Anguilla proper.

Upon landing on Anguilla, enjoy the provided barbecue buffet at Roy's Basyide Grill that includes ribs, fish and chicken. Hang out at Road Bay Beach for the afternoon. Relax, stroll the stretch of sand or hit up one of the many beachside bars.

Your 8-hour adventure in Anguilla ends with a sail back to St Maarten, and drop-off at select hotels.

Capt. and Crew were simply The Best! Attentive to your every need even if you get seasick. Prickly Pear is the first stop so if you are prone to seasickness take all necessary precautions. PRIOR TO checking in know or secure the name of your vessel. I booked online. While process was easy, no vessel name provided so it was confusing at check-in because two vessels were headed to Anguilla that day. Lunch was totally not what we expected. You had a choice of chicken, vegan, ribs or fish. You are given cole slaw, a green salad, potatoes and rice along with your meat/vegan selection all served by the crew. The ride back the sails went up and we participated in dancing with the crew. Open Bar but people on this trip were mindful of the quantity they were drinking so everyone had a grand time. 2 bathrooms on board. Highly recommend this trip on the Lombada.

We really enjoyed the sailing trip! You were able to sit, stand, etc., on various part of the boat throughout the trip to see the sites, enjoy the sun, or just feel the wind, and that was nice. Additionally, the crew was very safety-conscious and helpful in getting everyone set up for snorkeling. The short stay on Anguilla was relaxing, and you were able to swim, sunbathe, etc... The only thing that could have been improved was the lunch. It was not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination, but it was edible. Just know that this is an all day trip, and that there may be waves that day 3 1/2 feet our day we were told that they cancel when they get over 6 feet. So, if you get seasick, I'd take something. Otherwise, it's a trip worth taking!

Amazing trip! The captain and crew were great and super attentive. They made sure all guests on board were well taken care of- always asking if anyone wanted a drink or water. The water was a bit choppy the day I went. but clear and blue so snorkeling was a lot of fun. I went w/ my mom and the guys were patient w/ her as this was her first time snorkeling. I would definitely do this again next year. Thumbs up to the team for excellent customer service!

This tour was great. The crew on the boat was friendly, energetic, and attentive. The snorkeling location was great and the beach on Anguilla was amazing. The food was tasty and plentiful. I was also really appreciative of our Captain, who cut off the person there's always one, right? on our tour who got hammered on the free rum punch. Even the ride back to St. Maarten was great, as the engines were cut off and we truly sailed for a couple of hours. Overall, I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great day trip.

I loved this trip! We were picked up by a shuttle that was prearranged by the tour company which brought us to the marina on Simpson Bay. We sailed on the Lambada. The captain and his crew could not have been more helpful, friendly, and fun! The open bar included beer, wine, and their rum punch which they served to us on the boat and in the water! Snorkeling at Prickly Pear was our first stop. The water was crystal clear and we saw so many colorful fish around the coral reef! We had a great meal on this island after snorkeling. You choose your entrée at the beginning of the trip. Drinks are available to purchase on this part of the trip. Our last stop was just to play in the water at a beautiful beach in Anguilla. Although it sounds like a booze cruise, it was very well organized and professional. Lots of people, young and old, not drinking alcohol and everyone mixed well! Such a fun trip!
