Day Tour to Sedona Red Rock Country and Native American Ruins from Phoenix

This area of Arizona is so rich in Native American history and culture. On this full-day trip from Phoenix, you will visit ancient ruins at either Tuzigoot National Monument or Montezuma Castle National Monument. One of the largest pueblos ever built by the Sinagua some time between 1100 and 1450 AD is at Tuzigoot National Monument. You’ll see the ruins of a building that once consisted of two stories and 110 rooms. Wonderfully preserved Montezuma Castle National Monument is an easily accessible structure built into a cliff about 70 feet (21 meters) above the ground. Here, find an impressive five stories and 20 distinct rooms.

Before returning to Phoenix, visit The Chapel of the Holy Cross, a modern chapel built into the buttes, as well as massive Bell Rock, one of Sedona's most popular red rock formations. You'll likely find the red-rock formations of Sedona awe-inspiring. Don't forget your camera to capture the vast landscapes.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour in early February with our guide Montana. He kept us on time and was very informative and entertaining. We saw so much and captured many beautiful pictures. It was cooler in the am and some people were under dressed. Our hotel was not on the featured pick up list but we were accommodated by the company. This gesture was greatly appreciated. They also made an attempt to reduce the pick up time by having a second vehicle meet us with passengers. It is a full day so you definitely get your money's worth!

Our guide Jason? was very engaging and knowledgeable. The stops along the tour were very interesting and probably not places we would have found driving on our own. One of the people on the tour was able to squeeze in a jeep ride while the rest of us ambled though town.

Brandon was an excellent tour guide. He picked us up at the hotel exactly when he said he would. He drive carefully and cautiously and took us to see all the wonderful hilites of Sedona. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would book another tour with this company in the future.
