Choose from a morning or afternoon tour that starts with pickup from your Phoenix hotel.

Your guide welcomes you aboard your climate-controlled van and provides an introduction to the region’s history as you set out on your sightseeing tour in and around Phoenix.

Phoenix is situated in the Sonoran Desert, a swathe of land that covers 100,000 square miles (260,000 square kilometers) of Arizona, California, and the northwest Mexico. Your guide shares informative commentary about the animal and plant life, geography, and climate of the arid region, and describes aspects of the many Native American tribes in this region.

Some of the natural treasures you see are Camelback Mountain near Scottsdale, and South Mountain Park. From South Mountain’s lookout point, perched at 1000 feet (305 meters) above the desert floor, take in sweeping views of Phoenix.

In downtown Phoenix, your guide points out landmark buildings and sports stadiums that are home to the Arizona Diamondbacks (baseball) and Phoenix Suns (basketball). Drive by the elegant Arizona State Capitol building—built in 1898 as part of Arizona's push to become a state. Then get photo ops of other architectural gems such as the Arizona Biltmore, the Wrigley Mansion, and the former estate of United States Senator Barry Goldwater.

Head into Scottsdale’s Old Town, a vibrant pedestrian-friendly neighborhood with great shops, restaurants and art galleries, and take about one hour to browse on your own. Your guide can provide the inside scoop on local favorites, including places that you can return to later on your own.

This tour lived up to its description, with a van taking us to various locations in and around the Phoenix area, including downtown State House, Biltmore, Paradise Valley neighborhood, Hole in the Mountain, Papago Park and Old Town Scottscale. The driver was punctual and courteous and seemed genuinely happy to share his enthusiasm for the Phoenix area. It is probably difficult driving and being an attentive tour guide at the same time, but safe driving should always be the priority.

This tour was very informative and pointed our attractions that are well worth visiting. I suggest that a traveler take this tour early in the visit to Phoenix so that you get to see all the attractions in more detail after the tour.

A great over view of this beautiful capitol city of Phoenix. Mike was so knowledgeable about the history, the flora and cultural history of the area and had great stories to share. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the State Legislature, the Camelback Mountain property, the Biltmore and Old Scottsdale.

The guide was 1/2 hour late for pick-up and acted hurried the entire day. The tour was advertised as half-day but was actually only about 2and a half hours. I was not impressed and would not recommend this tour.

The tour was rather boring. We were going to be dropped off in Scottsdale to shop, which wasn't on the original itinerary. The shops weren't open yet so we just drove around for awhile and then dropped off. They weren't open yet and had to wait for a while longer. A waste of time. The rest of the trip was pretty bland. Our driver didn't have much to say and didn't seem very knowledgeable about the area although he said he lived there a long time. There was actually very little time spent on downtown Phoenix and the buildings there. We just rushed through that part and was very disappointed.
