What You Can Expect

Phang Nga Bay Sea Cave Tour from Phuket Including Lunch and Dinner

Explore the caves of Phang Nga Bay by sea kayak.

Phang Nga Bay lies within Ao Phang Nga National Park, a protected area that is home to diverse land and sea animals as well as lush plant life. Get away from the crowds to explore the bay with experienced local guides who take you to pristine places that most visitors don't see.

Start off in the late morning with pickup and transfer from your Phuket hotel. Ride in an air-conditioned minivan to the pier where your motorboat awaits, then enjoy a light lunch as you glide across the bay to your first destination. When you arrive, receive a short safety briefing then transfer into a sturdy inflatable kayak that is piloted by your guide and seats one or two people.

Your guide paddles your kayak into the sea caves, known as hongs (rooms) in Thai. Listen to informative commentary about the rock formations and hidden lagoons that you discover and learn about the flora and fauna of the region. Visit several  spots in the marine park, and enjoy time to rest and snack on the motorboat in between expeditions into the caves. Keep your eyes alert for wildlife such as macaques, water monitors, kingfishers, mudskippers, egrets, sea eagles and brahminy kites.

Watch the sunset from the water as the day winds down. Your guide then explains the Thai holiday Loi Kratong, when people create small floating bowls (kratong) made from banana leaves and decorated with flowers and candles. Make one of your own, and set it afloat on the water.

While you make your way back toward the shore, feast on a buffet Thai dinner cooked on the boat by the crew, who shop daily for high-quality fresh ingredients. Return to the pier two hours after sunset and transfer by minivan back to your hotel.

We took a couple of tours during our staying and this is by far the one that gives you the most out of your day and money. Great places to visit, never a dull moment during the day, all the tour guides are so friendly even if they are not paired with you. Variety of activities and food even for special requests e.g. vegetarian. Facilities are clean and seems they care a lot for the environment. Enough equipment for everybody, boat was not overly crowed with tons of areas to hang out without being fighting your seat. Everything was well organized to make everyone welcome and hassle free. I would take it again if I go back.

This excursion was one of the highlights of my trip. From the moment the excursion started the trip was 100 professional, well planned, and managed with great care and experience. Everyone on the crew had a smile on their face and was happy to help. The food was great and access to plenty of fresh cold bottle water was a great delight. The tour group help everyone learn about the area, the wildlife, and the history of the area. The sea caves and lagoons were breath taking. If you have the time, I would highly recommend this excursion.

This tour was amazing! Phang nga bay is a stunning place and in a kayak is the best way to experience it. Guides were organised, very friendly and good for a laugh. The food and coffee was the best we've had on a tour so far, unforgettable cashew chicken! They provide water proof bags that are really handy while on the kayak. By far the best part was experiencing the bio-illuminous plankton in the evening and floating our candle kratong. This is a must do!

A wonderful and exciting trip, very well organized, wonderful sights and experience.
compared with other trip in Phuket, the cost for this trip was quite high, however, considered with the quality of the trip, it is still worth of money.

This tour was on our last day and it was a great way to end our trip. The kayaking into the sea caves was truly amazing and this was really memorable because it was an excursion into areas that the general public does not get to see. Lighting the candles at the end of the day was also a truly beautiful experience. I highly recommend this tour
