Phi Phi Island Tour

Me and hubby were picked up from our hotel and headed to our meeting point which was an hour away. Arrived 8.15am and we were then given coloured bands to wear around the wrist. At around 10am we then called to go into this room. A young lady by the name of Lily introduced herself to us and gave a very informative talk on the tour & then we boarded the speedboat at 10.45am. We were very happy when we realised that Lily was our tour guide on our speedboat. Lily introduced all the crew aboard the speedboat. There was Mr. Jack Sparrow (driver) Mr Jackie Chan (photographer) & 2 deck hands names Espresso & Cappuccino. It was hilarious. There was free snacks & lots of drinks on the speedboat. We visited Phi Phi island sites like Monkey Beach & Pileh Lagoon for swimming, snorkelling & sunbathing and had buffet lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch when we got back to the speedboat we realised that one of the propellers were not working but Lily our tour guide was very poise and had it all under control. She then had to ask some of the passengers from our speedboat to get aboard other speedboats the reason being with only 2 propellers working not 3 the speedboat had to be a little lighter. We were then down to only half the numbers on the speedboat. I did swim after a lot of encouragement from Lily but did not snorkel. My hubby Stephen did both swimming & snorkelling and he said he loved the snorkelling he said underwater looked as beautiful as a fish aquarium with all the different types & colours of fish he said it was magnificent. Lily was extremely helpful & a really lovely lady to talk to. She took time to chat with everyone on board and made it a very enjoyable experience. Lots of pics were taken by Mr Jackie Chan. We were then told that we could buy the photo package, all photos would be put on a USB and delivered to our hotel. We did buy the package and true to their word it was delivered to our hotel. The photos & videos are amazing. Thanks Lily and all the crew aboard the speedboat we had an incredible time & would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do it.

Speed boat ride & swim

This was more of a speed boat ride with swimming and food. Tour guide was speaking English but shared very little information. The non-English speaking guide was more informative but not useful to English speaking people. Snacks were good but meal was average. Extra equipment were sold at very high rate which weren't ideally required during the trip. The trip was already over priced but wasn't worth the money.

Disapointing

The weather didn't help but i think some of the option were not well explained, the pilot driving was not the best for the sea conditions and in the end it didn't match the expectations...

Took us on the wrong tour

I was so excited about taking this tour. It was one of the main reason I booked the trip to Phuket. On the day of the tour, they arrived to pick us up early morning. Along the way they stopped and picked up several other people. As we were riding, my group started talking to others who were going on the tour. When we arrived to the destination 1 hour later, everyone was talking about they were going on the James bond tour. I asked the host and he said that we were going on the James bond tour. I explained to him that I did not book that tour and that I was suppose to be going on the Phi Phi island tour. The host called the person that put the tour together and gave me the phone. The man on the phone informed me that they accidentally booked the wrong tour for my group and they would be happy to take me back. I was very upset because it took us an hour to get here and he didn't offer us any type of incentive for incorrectly booking us. So that would be 2 hours of my time wasted. He said well you can stay on this tour and I will refund the difference. He didn't offer a discount or another day to take us on the correct tour or anything. My group decided to stay on the tour because we were already there. the first stop on the tour was terrible. The water was murky, the sand and beach area was dirty. The whole reason I wanted to go to Phi Phi island was to see the beautiful beaches. I was very upset and disappointed by this tour. When we returned, I re-booked this tour with another company and it was great. I was definitely disappointed by the service and the tour. I will never use that company again, and feel a little uneasy about using this website.

Overall a great experience with fantastic photo opportunities!

The car arrived on time to pick us up and we travelled from Karon Beach to the Boat Marina which took about 30 minutes or so. The car was large and air conditioned. Upon arrival at the Marina, we signed in and there were snacks and drinks available. We waited quite a long time (around 45 minutes) for everyone to arrive and then had a briefing before we set off. Our tour guide Lily was absolutely fantastic - she spoke great English and was energetic and funny, always playing with the guests which everyone seemed to enjoy. The speedboat was good and there were lots of drinks and snacks provided throughout the journey. There's space to sit outside or inside on the boat. We visited three islands - Phi Phi Don (where we had a great buffet lunch and they catered for Vegetarians - nice island with crystal waters and nice little shops and beaches), Phi Phi Leh (time for swimming and snorkelling) and we finished with Khai Island. To be honest, we really were so disappointed to be spending 1 hour and 15 minutes on Khai Island - it was tiny and EVERYTHING was overpriced with not much to do. We thought it would have made more sense to spend more time on Phi Phi Don island (we were only there for 1 hour) and only have around 30 minutes at Khai Island. Khai Island was horribly touristic and we couldn't wait to get away from it. Overall, I would recommend this tour as a great day trip for couples and families that love to swim and take photos as the islands are just gorgeous. Maya Bay is unfortunately unreachable due to tourists destroying the beach over the years but you can still get a good photo of it. Lily, thank you for being a great tour guide! :)

Speedboat Attack

Overall nice experience. Only comment is the tour could have left the dock earlier like 8 am for more swimming time and time to explore and take pictures in Phi Phi island. We ended up leaving 10 am due to the long orientation which started at 9am. This resulted in around 1 hour per site to swim and explore. Also, Maya Bay and Monkey island were only from-boat tours due to the government restrictions. Other alternatives could have been better.

Great visit to a few islands...

Great visit to a few islands, including seeing macaque monkeys and James Bond island. Food OK, the boat was busy and the final island trip was during low tide so we weren't able to snorkel as advertised. Snorkelling at an earlier island off the side of the boat was amazing though. Very enthusiastic tourguide.

A fun trip, not a heap of time for...
Bradley G
, Aug 2017
A fun trip, not a heap of time for snorkeling, lunch was ok, swim was ok if you like pulling up next to 40 other boats and jump in a small area of water surrounded by hundreds of others doing the same. Not a fan of the crew throwing an orange juice bottle to a monkey at Monkey island, the poor thing thought it was food. Not sure the point of that! Pretty much, everything on this trip was down in the middle of a crowd of boats all doing the same thing. If that is your cup of tea, then this is the tour for you! We both got really sick after this trip for a few days, not sure if it is the shared snorkeling equipment or the lunch we had, but it was brutal. Still, well ran, nice day out on the water!
