What You Can Expect

Chianti Classico Wine Tour from Pisa

Delicious snack

Begin your wine-tasting tour with afternoon pickup from your centrally located hotel or the Pisa Centrale railway station.

Travel to Chianti in a climate-controlled minibus to visit wine cellars at two local farms. The owners greet your group and take you on a tour of their properties, then lead you through a wine tasting that highlights their fine wines.

For lunch, stop at a farm and sit down for a light meal of farm-fresh Tuscan fare. Your meal is paired with five tastings of wine, plus samples of regional food products such as pappa al pomodoro (a soup of fresh tomatoes, olive oil, bread, garlic, and basil), cheese, salami, ham, and other delicacies.

After an afternoon of great Tuscan wine and food, your tour ends with drop-off in the evening at your starting point in Pisa.

5 star rating: Highly Recommended September 2017

My friends and I took this tour in May with Emilia. From the moment we met her she was enthusiastic and engaging we immediately felt like family! She's a careful driver and knowledgeable about the area and the history of wine. Our tour only consisted of myself and 3 friends and she was very respectful in giving us our time and space to decompress especially at the end of the tour when we ready for our nap after our very large meal. She's a careful driver and knowledgeable about the area and the history of wine. The selection of vineyards was perfect. We went to Castello di Gabbiano and Castello il Palagio. The personnel at each of the vineyards explained their history and process. We were able to see and taste! the difference between the two. The lunch at Castello il Palagio was delicious and we ate overlooking their vineyards.
