Cultural Walking Tour of Pisa with Leaning Tower of Pisa Entry Ticket

Learn about the history of the Leaning Tower of Pisa

Get an up close view of the famed Leaning Tower of Pisa: from the top of it. After meeting your guide in the center of Pisa, begin this informative and fun 90-minute tour. Stop for a photo 'holding up' the tower and then visit the grand and jaw-droppingly beautiful cathedral and the ornate baptistry. Often overlooked because of the nearby Leaning Tower, these buildings are majestic in their own right.
Be dazzled by this marvellous square which is dominated by the Cathedral where you will visit the indoor part a model of the distinctive Pisa Romanesque  architecture, the celebrated Leaning Tower, the round- shaped Baptistery surrounded by its suggestive columned arcades and its “Camposanto”, originally a cemetery, an extraordinary quadrangular cloister, delimiting with its marble façade the Square to the North. Back to the Leaning Tower for the main highlight of the day: climbing the 294 spiral steps to the top for an awesome view of the city.
Please note: If you have a fear of heights, walking difficulties or aversion to enclosed spaces, the Leaning Tower of Pisa climb probably won’t be for you. Use the time to relax at leisure in Cathedral Square, instead.
Please note: In case of long queue, if you cannot visit the interior of the Cathedral, you will be offered a guided visit of Piazza dei Cavalieri.

The guide was very knowledgeable and her enthusiasm for Galileo Galilei and her stories around him were fantastic. In a rush to get there we left our Camera in the hotel and the cell phone was dead, the guide went well above and beyond to find us a disposable camera so we could could still capture our experience, would rate her higher if it was possible

This was a great tour. Guide was very knowledgeable of Pisa but the tour was only about buildings in manin square. The climbing of tower was best part. Worth the money spent!

Maybe the best tour we had, with a guide whose name I cannot place right now who was nothing short of stupendous. He imparted so much intrigue and history, including a long-running battle between Pisa and Florence, that we did not want it to end, but it did, with our climb to the top of the famous leaning tower.

The walking tour focused on area surrounding the tower. As entrance to tower itself was pre-booked to manage crowd control, sufficient time was given to both climb the tower and to take in the view from the top before descending. One challenge - where as most of the tour leaders had a very visible identifying symbol, our tour leaders only wore a lanyard identifying company's name making it difficult to find them in the crowd as majority of participants were arrivals from cruise ship and did not have struggle to find out where to go. For those of us who walked to meet the starting point, it was difficult to assess as area very crowded.

One of the highlights of my trip! We took the train from Florence to Pisa, which cost 10 Euros each way. Train ride was around an hour, then we walked to the city center, which took about 20 minutes. The tour was great and gave us insight into the history of Pisa. Going up in the Leaning Tower was incredible!
