The tour was a lot of fun and our guide Ricardo was great. We opted to get hotel pickup for an additional 15 USD round trip they don't do pickups on Sundays and once we arrived at the cenote, we were given all our gears and a locker. You get to explore caverns and caves. The whole trip takes about 3.5 hours including transportation. It's a very unique and thrilling tour.
My husband and I took this tour. Our guide was Able and he was fantastic. He was able to speak in both Spanish and English. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a pretty small group and it took about 2 and a half hours. We were very happy we took this tour.
Our guide was fantastic! We had a great tour/trip at Chaak Tun...a must do when in Playa
One of the best things we did in Playa. Be sure to ask for Philippe. He has been doing cave dives for over 20 years and knows his stuff about cenotes.
Nice small group. Very informative. Taxi ride is 10 there and 12 back to town. Bring wet suit or use theirs. Better than expected.
Our experience as a family of 6 was remarkable from the ride from our rental property to the cenote guide at Chaak Tun. Our cenote guide was a wealth of geographical information as well as fun. The experience was the highlight of our vacation. The warming shots of tequila was the perfect antidote to the chilly waters of the cenote.
Philippe was our guide and not only gave a great tour of the cenote, but also gave a nice history of the Mayan culture. One of the highlights of our trip to Playa del Carmen, Highly recommend the tour.
Amazing way to start our first trip to Mexico! The staff was all very nice and helpful! They spoke English well too. Our guide, whom I can't remember the name of at the moment, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and funny! He took our photos with my phone, and we even got a photo with him at the end! He was a great tour guide!
The tour itself was breathtaking! We went into two different parts of the cenote since we were only snorkeling. The first part was small and just a warm up, but then we went into the larger, more well-known part. There were bats flying around and we saw some fish swimming! So cool! The guide took us around and talked to us about the cenote, and then he swam with us to different parts of the cave. We were then allowed a little bit of time to swim by ourselves. I got a lot of great photos, but its impossible to capture the breathtaking sights I saw both underwater and above me. I definitely recommend this tour! If you aren't at a hotel though, make sure you figure out the transportation ahead of time. That was our only issue. Great otherwise!
Great experience. Eerie, quiet and other-worldly. Our guide, Ricardo, was low-key but helpful, informative and gracious. You've never seen a cave like this. Also a great thing to do when you've overdosed on sun the day before. Which happens to...everyone.
The tour was fascinating. Swimming in the cool water is a nice Break from the heat. It was much cheaper than rio secreto.
I was a little confused on how to get to this tour. We were in Playa del Carmen, and the easiest way is to just grab a taxi. We signed up for their shuttle to come pick us up, but their communication as to when we would be picked up was not that great. The guide was knowledgeable and very nice. The cave snorkel was interesting. I think it took us a couple of hours to do this tour. If you want a quick outing this was good.
The staff at the tour spoke no english when we call to confirm. Also there was no transportation on Sundays.
We were really looking forward to this tour but didnt even go due to the troubles with confirming.
