This is the ideal choice if you're looking for a leisurely, intimate experience of Chichen Itza. This tour gives you more time than others to explore and snap photos of the legendary Mayan ruins.
Chichen Itza is a must see attraction if you are in PDC, Cozumel or Cancun... You'll learn a lot about the impressive Maya Civilization and the importance of their discoveries for the world as we know today.
The van was a MB very clean and comfortable , and the driver was very kind. The tour guide was a Maya descendant and demonstrated a good knowledge about Mayan history.
Viator is awesome too! I was in Cozumel for diving, and decide in the last day to make the tour. They were able to arrange it less than 12 hours before the tour. Nevertheless, I do not recommend you doing this. You'll probably need to call the local agenci Mayaland at 6:00 am, let then know about your late booking and arrange the van pick-up. As I was in Cozumel, and took the 7am ferry to PDC and arrived at 7:45 at the pier. The van driver was waiting for me at the front of Sr Frogs!
This trip was amazing!
1st class tour, so glad we booked this trip.
The guide and driver were both friendly and informative.
The chance to relax by the pool before the long trip back to the hotel was great, and made the whole day even more enjoyable
We had a great tour despite some rain in the afternoon. Juan Carlos, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were picked up promptly at 7:15 for the trip to Chitzen Itza and were back by 6 p.m.. The buffet lunch at the hotel after the morning tour was very good and we had plenty of time to relax at the hotel or go back into the site to see more things. Unfortunately it was raining so our options were a bit more limited but certainly not the fault of the tour company. I would definitely recommend this tour to friends and family visiting the area.
This was a fantastic tour and I would highly recommend it. We ŵere picked up exactly on time and travelled to Chichen Itza in a comfortable mini bus. The tour group was quite small - only 10 in total - so it felt like a more personal experience. Quite a long drive to Chichen Itza - just over 3 hours - by the time we had picked up at 3 other hotels. The guide helped make the journey go faster as he gave us a history of the area as we travelled.
Chichen Itza was amazing, and no queueing. We used a private entrance but also got there just ahead of the big tour groups so it never felt too busy. Our guide took us round and talked us through the different buildings and we never felt rushed.
After lunch at Mayaland hotel we were given option of more free time at Chichen Itza or to go for a swim at a local cenote. The whole group chose to go to the cenote so we headed off for a refreshing swim to cool down after a hot morning walking through the ruins. A great way to cool off ahead of the journey back !
All in all, an excellent trip that I would thoroughly recommend.
One thing that could be improved that isn't made clear before you book. After booking online you need to phone up the tour organiser to arrange the pick-up from your hotel. After being asked to specify the hotel during the booking process I was surprised that I'd need to do this - I just expected pick up time to be confirmed as part of the booking process. When I did phone the tour organisers - it took several attempts to get through as lens were busy - I to make three different calls before the person was able to confirm they had my booking and what the pick up time was. The first two promised to call me back after being unable to find my details but never did.

We was collected from our hotel in Maya on time. The drive is long from Riveria Maya approx 3hours. I really thought we would of swam in the Cenote. In fact we didnt even got shown the Cenote. The expert Guide Maurice was very informative and theatrical with his advice. The buffet lunch was average. There was a show put on by the locals when we ate our lunch. We went to the planterium..There is a warning with this excursion..The guide Maurice was making the other tourist pay thier entrance to the Chichen Itza and to the Planterium. This was already included as stated on the voucher which we showed. He then said he would get our tickets. But he only did that for us as we questioned him about it. There is no need to take swim wear as there is not much time to use the facilities at the Mayaland hotel.
