Step into the world of the ancient Maya on a half-day trip to Tulum archeological site, a fortified city with a backdrop of Caribbean-blue water and white sand beaches. Enjoy a combination of guided and independent time as you explore Tulum’s temples, pyramids, and colorful frescoes. This 6-hour Tulum tour includes entrance fees and round-trip transport from hotels in the Riviera Maya.
Start with pickup at your hotel, then travel to the Tulum archeological site, once an important post in a trading network linked cities across the Maya world and beyond.
Learn what’s known about the site on an hour-long guided tour, exploring the daily lives and beliefs of the ancient Maya people. See paintings preserved for centuries in the Temple of the Frescoes, puzzle over the mysterious figure that adorns the Temple of the Descending God, and walk along stone walls that overlook the Caribbean Sea.
Following the tour, you’ll have one hour to enjoy the area on your own: take advantage of the time to snap some photos of Tulum, swim at the nearby beach, or visit the nearby crafts market. Meet back up at the end of your time in Tulum, and board the tour vehicle for the trip back to your hotel, where your tour concludes.

George the tour guide was knowledge and friendly!! On the way back to the hotels they have water, beers and tequila, almost a party!!
This was a great tour, our knowledgeable and personable guide, Martin made the trip both interesting and entertaining.. Tulum itself was picturesque on the Cliffside by the sea. Wear good footwear for walking for sure. Don't forget your swimsuit either!
The Cenote experience was also not one to be missed. I have to say also that if you are lucky enough to get Bus 34 with Martin as your guide you won't ever forget the ride back. We all need a little music in our soul!!
Amazing trip to Tulum, the guide was very knowledgeable and cheerful, very hot day with little shade but you can always cool off in the sea.I would definately recommend this trip, the price was good as was the guide and the driver.
The travel time was absurd. What should have been a 45-min. ride to Tulum took about 2 hours and required a bus change. The bus went up and down the highway picking people up in an undecipherable order. The actual time at Tulum was nice. Beautiful place very much worth visiting, but next time I would take a different tour with a guide who was maybe less focused on making jokes and had more enthusiasm for explaining exactly what we were looking at. He was a really nice guy, and it's always tough to manage a large group, but I guess his style just wasn't my cup of tea. This tour was inexpensive...you get what you pay for.
Martin was a fantastic tour guide, informative and entertaining. The length of the tour is just right, you have enough time to visit the ruins and do some shopping for knick knacks, but can still be back at your hotel to relax before dinner.
