Had a great, fun filled day. Lots to see and do in one day. Especially enjoyed the underground river swim and the evening Mexico show.
Great day out! It and #39;s full on though, not much relaxing time. You and #39;ll need biodegradable sun screen to use in the park, which they sell on the coach at a fair price. My girlfriend did a dolphin experience too, which she loved. The show was great, but the food in the show is very traditional..not 4 all!
We went without kids and stayed the whole day, but were never bored! The park is cleverly designed with lots of shaded paths and underground caves - it really helped keep you cool. The evening show is a must-see, but good seats fill up fast. An easy way to get great seating is to buy the dinner and show package. It's relatively inexpensive, open bar, and the food was good. Also get the photo package, it's worth it and there are photo ops everywhere.
Definitely an experience worth having. Going the through the underground rivers was amazing. Especially the second time when we swam through the bat cave, the Mayan village and the museum.
The show at night was thoroughly entertaining. The games, story and history could not have been taught in a more memorable way.

I did swimming in the underground river twice! You don and #39;t need to know how to swim to do this. The traditional Maya dance was really good and the show at the end was truly knowledgeable as it told you about the Mexican history in an interesting way. Even the horse in the show was dancing lol.
One of our favourite days out. So much to see and do, we did not manage to do everything we had hoped to do. We particularly liked the butterfly house and aviary. We were disappointed with the 'Mexico Spectacular show' which we felt was aimed at the Mexican tourists who already knew the area and traditions.
We got the xcaret plus ticket which was worthwhile. I thought that it included drinks throughout the day but it was only with your meal. I We ate at the yucantan restaurant, which was good. Rafael was an excellent waiter who looked after us. The evening show was amazing. Fantastic day out.
This is a must see! You cant go to to Cancun/playa del carmen without going to Xcaret.
My hotel was so close to Xcaret and if I had done my research ahead of time I would have taken a cab back for lunch to my hotel which was all inclusive instead of paying $250 dollars to pay for lunch for my family of 5 at the park.
Great way to spend the day. You can be as active or lazy as you want. Lots things to do or just lay around the beach. I used this tour as one of my last things to do as I was pretty tired by the end of the week of activities
A nice way to spend the day. My husband and I enjoyed a good buffet meal and beverage along with a lot of activities. It rained while we were there but that was of no concern since we would just get back into the water and continue to enjoy ourselves. That's the nice thing about being at a park with lots of water activities.

Picked up on time from Hotel. The tour person went through the map of the Xcaret. But found that what he told us was not really relevant. He said to go to the Under river swim first but i suggest doing this half way through the day as all tour guides tell all tourist to do this. But if you go later in the day its quieter. The day is very long and tiring. We didnt get a chance to see the Fire work show in the evening as the day is far too long. There is a lot of walking and wear very ccomfortable shoes. This excursion is like visiting a theme park. You will not experience the real Mexico if you are hoping for that type of experience.
Great park. Lots to see and do. The shows were great. We loved the river. I don't recommend eating at the buffet restaurants. They were really expensive and the food was terrible. You are better off getting something from one of the walk up venders.
We are a family of four from the USA. There were some amazing things to see at this park. The underground river was awesome, but COLD water. Once you got used to it, it was OK. A little scary for little ones, though. The cultural elements were awesome. It was like getting a survey of Mexican culture and history all in one place. We stayed all day, primarily for the evening show. It lived up to the hype, but we missed some of the significance of the symbolism involved as we are American. There was a bit a lag time between the day's activities and the show, but shopping and dinner (excellent options) filled the void nicely.
Long day when there is only one time to return to our hotel and too far to take a taxi back. We could have enjoyed the park in 4 hours not 8 but then we don't have kids.
