I had a great time tasting different fruits and cheeses. I loved the Misty Mountain cheese. The chocolates were amazing. The wine and spirits were most interesting and definitely worth trying. It was a lot of fun. The scenery was lovely and Mark was most informative and helpful. It was a great day.

Very informative tour and a great way to learn more about the Atherton Tablelands region. Indulging in a variety of food and wine was a bonus. Small group, well organised, visiting places you would otherwise not know about or could drive past. The beauty of a tour is getting the background information and our guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions about history, current events, the landscape etc. A full day, visiting some 6-7 different places, providing a different view of the area. Recommended tour.

My husband, our daughter and I stayed in Port Douglas for one week in March. One of the days we went on Bretts Outback Tasting Adventure tour. This tour was available only on Tue, Thu or Sat, started at 9am and finished by 5:30pm, we paid A159 p/p. We were picked from our Port Douglas Accommodation. Small group: 8 people our guide Brett. Tour started with drive from Port Douglas to Cairns. We arrived to Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park and had morning tea and coffee, served in beautiful china, and damper biscuit with homemade jams 4 different kinds made of local fruits, and local fruits some we never heard or tried before, a few of them were very sour. After this we had a bit of free time to browse in souvenir store.

After this we drove to Kuranda Highlands, where we had Wine tasting at De Bruey's Winery. We tried 14 different wines made of tropical fruits, ports and cream liquors. You can buy any of these wines if you would like to. After this we came to Mount Uncle Distillery, where we had Pizza and Salad Lunch and could do another spirit and liquor tasting they had cream liquor, vodka, gin and whiskey. You can taste 1 drink for free and/or buy flight of any 4 for 10. After we had a bit of time to walk around grounds, where they had animals like lamas, goats, peacock, etc.
After this we had tasting at On to Coffee Works, many samplings of locally grown coffees including espresso, a few teas 4, 5 coffee liquors and tasting of chocolate: white, milk and dark. There also was Coffee Museum and souvenir store.

Next was Emerald Creek Ice Creamery for tasting of local ice creams and sorbets many local flavors, some very interesting and unusual.
The last stop was in Malanda at Platypus Hut we were looking for the elusive platypus while sampling Malanda's Cheeses with crackers and fruits and selection of drinks: wine, beer, soda or water. We didnt see platypus, but it was nice and relaxing.

Brett our guide and driver, was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about area, climate, culture, history, etc. It was interesting to go from rainforest to tablelands, we saw, banana and mango plantations and fields with huge termites mounds we even saw some wild kangaroos! We were in Atherton, Mareeba, Malanda area and after came back to the coast and Port Douglas.
Great tour! Great guide! We would recommend it.

very informative information in regards to the area visited by tour guide. You need to be made aware that the pizza for lunch is really only a one person serve. I would inform friends that this tour is worthwhile.

Brett was extremely informative, friendly and passionate.
Perhaps some of the products could be improved or altered to suit a higher end clientele, however we were certainly provided a diverse overview of the Tablelands!
