Had a great time on this tour. Our guide was a local, and knew the whole area inside and out. He was also super friendly and had a great sense of humor. This was a great value and a fun time. Highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I enjoyed this tour immensely. The tour guide - who is actually the owner of the company and a native Mainer from Portland - was the highlight of the trip. He was knowledable, entertaining, courteous and informative. The tour itself? The sights that we saw? Wonderful as well! All in, I would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for an overall Portland tour. Terrific!

Derek took us on a tour of his hometown Portland. He was very informative and hilarious as we toured Portland. We viewed so many sights that we wouldn't have seen on our own. This tour is well worth the money, you won't regret going with The Real Portland Tour. Derek's hometown stories and history knowledge cannot be compared to other companies. My husband and teenage son weren't too thrilled about taking a tour, but at the end they said it was better than what they thought.

The trip was very short for what it intended to cover. The tour guide had excellent knowledge of the history of Portland which was enjoyable. It was a pleasant drive through the various significant streets of Portland with no real stops (even the Wadsworth Longfellow was just a whizz by). There was a 15 min stop at the Portland Headlights which was perfect to absorb the glory. However the stop at Bug light was a mere 5 min and Spring Point Ledge was not even that. I wish it was atleast 15 to 20 min stop at the beautiful Spring Point Ledge where one can actually walk along the Ledge. We had to come back to do this. So all in all learnt a lot from the pleasant tour operator and our driver but had not vety little time to absorb the 3 lighthouses
