Your 5.5-hour trip trip through Willamette Valley wine country begins with afternoon pickup from your central Portland hotel. Grab a comfortable seat in the Sprinter Van and watch the cityscape give way to verdant hills, expansive farm land and stunning views of the Cascade Mountains. Spend the brief ride chatting with your guide about the region's history, once known for its fruit orchards and nurseries, and its current renown as a premier producer of fine wine.

Pass through the charming towns of Newberg, Forest Grove, Sherwood, and Gaston on your way to three acclaimed wineries. With more than 250 vineyards to choose from in the Willamette Valley, your in-the-know guide will design a custom itinerary for your small group. Possible stops include Erath Winery to sip an award-winning pinot noir or the Stoller Family Estate, where you can view breathtaking vineyards from their signature glass tasting room, a landmark in sustainable architecture. (Other possible stops listed below.)

At each winery, sip on hand-selected wines that will suit all tastes, from red varietals like syrah, tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon to prize chardonnay and pinot gris. By the end of the tour, you’ll better understand the unique relationship between the valley's volcanic soils, elevation and protective microclimates — ideal for producing cool-climate varietals like pinot noir — and the art of sustainable viticulture in Oregon.

Relax on the scenic ride back to Portland, arriving at your hotel just in time for dinner!

Really great tour of the valley! Our guide Jeri was amazing and knew so much about the region and history of wine in Oregon. The hotel pick up was very convenient and the wineries were excellent - we took home half a case! Would highly recommend and tour with again.

This tour exceeded expectations, in all ways. Beyond touring some influential vineyards in the Willamette Valley AVA, our guide and driver, Dylan was extremely personable and was deeply knowledgeable of wine, Oregon, and what to do in Portland. While we were riding on long stretches of road, Dylan would provide details on points of interest, along the way. Further, he would answer any question on Oregon with an encyclopedic knowledge. An extremely pleasant and enjoyable way to spend five hours. If you like wine and Oregon, take this tour!

Our tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable about wine, the region and history of the wine making in the valley. All three vineyards were wonderful - very generous and accommodating.

What a great price for a great tour! Marcus was so nice and knowledgeable. From the pick up at our hotel (So convenient) to the very clean and comfortable van, plus loved the smaller group instead of a large busload of people. We had a blast!

We visited three small wineries. Jerri was our tour guide and was knowledgeable and nice. My main complaint was at the second winery we visited-Blizzard. The tour advertised that we would be served a meat and cheese tray at the second winery. We were seated at three small tables but the hostess only brought out 2 small trays with not much of anything on them. The third table asked for a tray and the hostess picked the one up off our table and gave it to them. We had only tasted one or two things on the tray. The couple at the third table was nice and gave the tray back to us after sampling a couple of things. I couldn't believe they didn't provide a tray for each table. I thought it was extremely rude to pick up the tray off of our table and give to them instead of going back to the kitchen and getting another tray. We paid a lot for the tour and since this was the only winery serving food I expected enough for each person on the tour.
