In the early morning, board an air-conditioned minivan destined for the rolling hills of the Douro Valley. During the scenic drive, your guide provides commentary and details the day ahead.

Your first stop is Peso da Régua, a sprawling riverside town famed for its production of port wine, where you’ll drink in vistas of the city from an elevated lookout point. Then, visit two wine estates to sample locally produced wine during a tasting session.

Lunch in the village of Pinhão: expect to enjoy dishes such as roasted chicken, spicy rice, and fish stew.

Sated, board a boat and enjoy a river cruise down the Douro; delight in your beautiful surroundings before you return to the coach and travel to another viewpoint to capture sweeping panoramas of the landscape.

We had a lovely day, wineries we stopped at were excellent, learned a lot from the guides. Our tour guide Tania was attentive and delightful! We loved that we were picked up directly at our apartment and dropped off there too. My only recommendation would be to advise folks booking the tour that it is quite a late lunch, so be sure to bring a snack to tide you over u TIL then! We were starving, and with the consumption of port, would be best if you had something in your bellies before the first tour! Otherwise, it was a wonderful day...thank you so much!

Participation in that tour is the one of our best memories of visit Porto. Our tour guide, Ivo, was really amazing and funny. He shared with us a lot of information about region and wine. Visiting wineyards was very teaching time. And wine tasting... There was a lot of delicious wine. We had really a good time there. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!

I just traveled to beautiful Portugal with my husband. We took the Douro Valley tour with boat ride, lunch and 2 Vineyards. Ivo was an outstanding tour guide who took special care of the group, provided very interesting information and made it a memorable experience. The view is breathtaking, the boat ride was relaxing and enjoyable, the vineyards and wine tasting were fantastic and lunch was delicious with an amazing view! A definite must see.
