After traveling to the meeting point, greet your host and hop on a bus bound for Régua, a sun-bleached city in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Douro Valley.

Then, as the bus sets off, enjoy the graceful landscapes of the Douro Valley: expansive vineyards, picturesque villages, and rolling hills paint a pleasing picture.

You will now be taking a pleasure cruise down the Douro River. Revitalize yourself with a lunch served aboard the boat and admire the unparalleled views of the surrounding landscapes while sailing at a leisurely pace.

Dating cruise for people in the higher age category

Discovering the duoro valley from the waterside I was expecting a calm experience… in reality we were packed on a boat with more then 100 peoples of which the average age was above 70. Nothing wrong with that untill the boat left the docks. At 11 o’clock first porto was served by the cruise operator… and then the passender continued drinking alcohol… again nothing wrong with that but does it need to result in load (bad) music shattering from the audio boxes and drunk people screaming to make sure that everybody are aware that the are having fun!! Happy that we could leave the boat after 6 hours of suffering Would I recommend this trip to somebody… yes : my aged father that would be in for a fun sunday afternoon and looking to score!

Was a rainy day, but we...

Was a rainy day, but we had a wonderful trip...lots to see, nice bus ride versus train not offered, and meal was wonderful, they also set us apart from others while we ate due to Covid and truly appreciated that part.

Very enjoyable day out

Fantastic day out. The tour operator called me the day before the trip to confirm details, such as where to meet and the time. I had read in previous reviews before the trip that it is best to sit on the right hand side of the train, which we did, and the river is on this side. Although the first hour or so is just travelling through the city. When we got off the train we followed the guide for about a 10 minute walk to the boat. Once on the boat, and seated on deck, it left straight away. We were offered a glass of white Port or soft drink, and a small plate of nibbles. Then we had about an hour and a half to enjoy the views as we traveled along the river, which was nice and relaxing. Lunch was severed about 12.30, which was vegetable soup, fresh bread roll, then pork with potatoes, rice and vegetables. The service was excellent and staff very pleasant. We were offered second helpings of the soup and main course if we wanted it. Desert was cheesecake, and we had water and wine to drink, and coffee at the end of the meal. We arrived back in Porto early about 5.00pm. It was a very pleasant and relaxing day out, and after 2 busy days sight seeing Porto city and walking for miles, it was just what we needed.

Disorganized pick up at train station . Guide did not know we were on the list .Minimal commentary but boat ride back to Porto well worth it.

Journée agréable tout juste... L'aller en bus très correct, retour sur un rafiot bruyant et très vieux... Le repas à bord est correct mais rien de plus. Heureusement le paysage et les passage des écluses valent le coup.

Verrassend mooi en heel verzorgde trip. We hebben er van genoten. Fijne verzorgde maaltijd. ( alles á volonté) Bij warm en zonnig weer is er wel weinig schaduw op het dek, dit is spijtig want dan moet je binnen in restaurant ( met airco).
