This was the best tour we've ever been on! Our tour guide was great, and the knowledge of the local history, wine, grapes, and food was extensive. We also really enjoyed picking grapes off the vines and our lunch was excellent! Well worth taking this tour!

A good look at the Douro River and the port wineries. Great scenery and an excellent tour guide Andre. Thoroughly recommend the river cruise option, The visit to Lamego was a very pleasant surprise. The church is very impressive, and followed by a nice lunch.

An absolutely perfect day! Our guide Claudia was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and spent the day switching from English to French to Portuguese. It was impressive. She was also so sweet with my 6 year old daughter who was the only child on the tour. All the points to Living Tours for providing a booster seat! Our lunch was one of the best meals we had in Portugal and the river cruise was beautiful. It really is the perfect way to see the Douro Valley if you only have a few days in Porto!

This tour was one of the best experiences of my life! The whole day was well planned and perfectly scheduled. I have to say that our tour guide, Francisco, was the BEST! His knowledge of the area we toured was very thorough. His stories included such expertise and detail that I couldn't wait for another of his tales. He was very poetic in how he explained the history of the Douro Valley. Beautiful day, Beautiful memories! Thank you!

This tour was fantastic. We were lucky to have the most amazing tour guide, Sofia Cruz, running the tour. We had a wonderful group of 8 individuals on the tour. Sofia told us the history of Porto, took us to a beautiful church, explained the history of wine in the region. We went to a wonderful restaurant for lunch along the way. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. After lunch we went on a 50 minute boat ride on the Duoro, which was gorgeous. The setting was breathtaking. We finished our day at a winery where we had tastings of Port wine. Sofia took a different route back, so we had the pleasure of seeing more of Portugal.

The tour guide Pedro was very knowledgeable, helpful and made the trip really more than what it could have been. The Douro valley is breathtaking. The stop at the winery was informative and relaxing. The stop at the church, Santuario de Nossa Senhora dos Remedios was my favorite part. The architecture of the church is awe inspiring.
