Its nice way of spending late afternoon in Porto regardless of the weather (there is very little walking).

Fantastic tour, very knowledgeable guides and the Port was very good. Nice size tour group. Loved the insight into how it’s made and history on how it was made and transported to Porto. Would definitely recommend.
Well worth it

Alex was a fantastic host and made the tour memorable. I would absolutely reccomend this tour for anyone wanting to understand Porto
A must-do tour!
Sarah_M, Feb 2023
Wow, we really enjoyed this tour. Even though it’s a walking tour it’s short and sweet and not only do you learn some valuable information about the making of port wine and the history of the business, you get to taste a variety of delicious port in some of the most established wineries. We also met some great people on the tour and had a great time socializing with the whole crew afterwards. Veronica the guide was wonderful, so personable and knowledgeable! Be aware that it is a lot of drinking and there’s no food on the tour - be sure to eat! But it guarantees a great time.
Entertaining and Tasty tour

Alex was charismatic and really knowledgeable. He made learning about port accessible and fun for everyone. Generous pours and more facts (and jokes) than you may even expect. Highly recommend.

Must do on a first trip to Porto!!
Sara_U, Feb 2023
This was our first experience with Port wine, and Alex was the best guide we could asked for! He provided us with a lot of information about the history of the wine, how it is made, the differences between varietals, and more tips for enjoying port. Alex did a great job of encouraging communication between your participants and building relationships. His passion and enthusiasm was relentless and made this tour extra fun. We visited 3 very different port houses and tried 7 ports between them. There was no pressure to buy, though you could/can. Alex was happy to answer questions and give further Porto recommendations at the end of the tour. We would take this tour again because Alex is such an excellent guide.
Great tour with excellent tastings
Nicolette_C, Feb 2023
I highly enjoyed the port wine cellars tour in Gaia/Porto. Our tour guide, Alex, was very entertaining and provided excellent information about the history of port wine making. The walking was very easy and I liked that we experienced three different cellars.
A must do when in Porto!

Kenji_O, Jan 2023
Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we had many glasses of port wine (of various types)! You will have a good idea about various types of port wine, and which one you like. Be sure that your stomach is ready for it. Rain jacket or a good umbrella is a must if you join this tour on a rainy day.

What an awesome tour. First of all, Porto is an absolutely beautiful city. We met our guide who was phenomenal and learned the names of all ~20 people in the tour. It made it very personal and was a well informed guide. He also gave us great restaurant recommendations after the tour was over. We toured 3 different port lodges. They were all unique and learned the differences in port. Would highly recommend and would definitely take the tour again. I still dream of Porto!
Great and informative tour! ((:

Me and my partner had a wonderful time exploring Gaya and tasting different Port wines. Alex, our tour guide was amazing. We learned a lot about how Port wine is made and why it's so special. Alex was a great guide, very quickly learned everyone's names, joked a lot and made the atmosphere very friendly and relaxed. Just have in mind that 7 glasses of Port wine is A LOT. Port wine is not a regular wine, it's much sweeter and stronger and not everyone can manage to drink that many glasses!! Port wine is quite filling as well so don't overdo your lunch. All in all, both of us had a great time, it was my partners b-day and he got a couple glasses extra, he he.
Fantastic
