Our group really enjoyed our incredible tour experience. Our driver, Pavel, and our tour guide, Jan, were extremely friendly, organized, and eager to provide an awesome tour. Jan answered any questions we had while on the tour, described each stop in detail, and was fun to be with and learn from. The stops on the tour were also great - a mix of sightseeing, hiking, a boat ride, and lots of history and great stops to see. We would highly recommend this tour! Thanks, Jan and Pavel.

A very enjoyable day in...

A very enjoyable day in the spectacular National Park and highly recommended as a change from touring museums and galleries. Martin is an excellent guide, well informed about the local geology and environmental issues but also interested to talk about the recent history of his country. And the diverse group on the tour contributed to many interesting discussions. Some good hiking and a traditional Czech meal completed a special day in the countryside.

Stunning scenery, wonderful guides, fun challenge

Hiking is not something we often do when traveling, tho we are so glad we chose this experience. It was marked as a "moderate" hike, and we were sent a few emails ahead of time to remind us it wouldn't be easy, and at 60 and 67 years old we were excited for the challenge. Everything about it was our favorite - from being greeted (right on time) by our driver, Pavel, as though we were long-expected best friends, and our wonderful, enthusiastic guide, Jonathan. The sun came out as well! Jonathan and Pavel kept us entertained during the long drive to and from. We explored three areas of the park, all quite different and equally stunning. The middle section had suffered a very large fire a few months earlier, which changed the landscape drastically but also made it very interesting. Jonathan's knowledge of and interest in geology came in handy for us. The hikes themselves were as advertised - rough terrain in areas and some pretty steep and long climbs and descents. Let's just say we were glad we "trained" for it ahead of time by climbing hills at home. We highly recommend this excursion - excellent people (thank you, Pavel and Jonathan!), excellent organization, informative, entertaining, and stunning scenery.

Awesome trip to learn local history and geology!

Josef made the trip a treat. I really enjoyed his insight on the geology of the area as it helped give us a better understanding and appreciation of what we were looking at, also just a great guy to chat with! The only reason I gave 4 stars was the mishap with logistics.. I was told they'd pick us up between 7-7:20am (so we stood outside and waited to make the pickup process quick and easy). Come to find out after a call to uniline, pickup was at 8:15. Seems like a communication error somewhere. Minor inconvenience, though I'd still recommend this tour.

When we are on vacation, we also like to treat ourselves to a longer sleep. So we understand that it's annoying. We always send two emails, one is an automatic reminder and the other is a confirmation with the weather forecast, the phone number for the guide and/or driver and also the exact time of your pickup, i.e. in your case 8:15 a.m. since you were the last guest to be picked up. Prague is not a small city and we like to reserve time in the information reminder. But we understand that you have a clear information after the first email pick up time and you no longer pay attention to the next one. Uniline did an amazing job on the Best of Bohemia and Saxon Switzerland National Forest. I would highly recommend taking this tour. Uniline had great communication before the tour day. They were on time for pick up and had snacks/wifi in a very comfortable van. The tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and attentive ! The driver Paul was an awesome person , very funny and took care of us every step of the way ! I can’t say enough good things about both :) We had an early start for the tour which was great because the site parking and National Forest trails quickly became filled with tourists. The early arrival allowed for great pictures and having the area to ourselves. The lunch was a fantastic at traditional Czech restaurant. All in all, a great experience and wonderful people running the operation. Don’t miss out on the Uniline experience !

Great tour. When we arrived at the bastei bridge there was a fire so we couldn't see it, but the guide handled it well and we got to see a different spot instead. Transported in a nice minivan and the food was good. The guide was really nice and knew a lot of interesting trivia which he shared along the trip. All in all a fun day!

Amazing tour, amazing company!!! Great communication prior to trip. They sent photos and bios for driver and guide ( very helpful). From pick up to drop off we were taken care of. Be prepared to walk/hike.. we hiked 11.5 miles, the views at every turn we’re breathtaking and worth every step! Paul (Pavel/ driver) and guide Josef were super! They talked just enough and answered all our questions about everything! They had snacks and drinks, we were picked up in a clean van , an A++++ tour and tour company! My daughter and I (21 and 39 for reference, respectively) took this tour with Cassius as our guide and Paul as our driver and we had an absolute blast. Cassius was incredibly knowledgeable about all the sights and kept everything fun and interesting. Paul was also great, they make a fantastic team. Our total group was nice and small with another family of 4 (two adults and two teenage girls) and we all became fast friends. Bring proper walking shoes, you’ll be doing some moderate level hiking on uneven surfaces and stairs in high places that may be difficult for young children or those with issues walking.

Fabulous sites, food and company!

STRONGLY recommend this day trip with this company (Uniline)! Recently did this trip with my husband, and it was only us for the day. Great for us, as it was a really personal experience. Our driver Pavel and guide Eduard were FABULOUS... knowledgeable, funny and very friendly - made for a great day. Both were locals, so gave us great advice for restaurants and other places to see for the rest of our trip, plus a good insight into the Czech lifestyle, with a lot of laughs. The minivan is really comfortable and clean, and each passenger is given a foodbag with snacks and water (This was very exciting for my husband who is always hungry). Lunch was also delicious, and you are given a choice of high quality meals, so this was a great bonus. Overall the whole trip was very professional and we were really impressed. Weather was not so great for the start of the day.. but this meant that there weren't many people at any of the sites, so no lines or crowds... plus a very cool fog. All the sites are fabulous and very beautiful.. a MUST SEE! Plus in the car you will pass by some very cute villages. Strongly recommend this trip... rain or shine!

We really would like to recomend this tour and this company. Comunications form the company was first class and we were looked after from start to finish on the tour. Our driver was Roman and our guide was Josef. It was a wonderful day of great secenery and we enjoyed every moment. Lunch was delicious, and the day eneded with a very relaxing boat ride. We have wonderful memories of this trip and please do not hesitate to book with this company you will not be disappointed.

Fun day out of the city

Edward was an awesome tour guide, it was just the three of us as it was off season. It was a fun day out, we got picked up from our hotel and dropped off so it made things easy. Edward was a fun guide and very knowledgeable, he made sure we were well looked after and explained everything as we went along. It was like our own private tour with a photographer! I would definitely recommend Edward and Uniline Tours

Although part of the hike was good. It was disappointing to learn on the day that the boat trip that was highlighted as being part of this tour was not taking place because we were informed by our tour guide that it was off season, so this was very disappointing.

The early departure is completely justified with awesome views and photo opportunities of the Bastei bridge, uninterrupted by other tourists. I managed to take some great pics with absolutely no one else in them! Although this may be different in the summer. A complimentary drink is provided at the Pravcice Gate and the lunch before the boat trip was delicious. There are adequate toilet breaks before and after each stage of the trip and loads of snacks and water into the tour bus/van (although if you are allergic/ intolerant to nuts or dairy I would make that clear when booking the trip). Stunning views and enjoyable walks throughout and the entire trip. A big shout out goes to out driver Jacob, and of course our enthusiastic guide Jan, who made the trip very enjoyable and informative!

Wonderful day trip-highly recommend!

I would like to start by saying our tour guide, Steven, was amazing. He was personable, knowledgeable of the different areas, and laid back. Our group never felt rushed from one sight to the next as he encouraged us to take our time. The trip itself was beautiful. It took less than 2 hours from Prague to reach the first spot and the entire hike from start to finish was approximately 6.5 miles. The total trip was about 12 hours. We saw moutains, natural arches, and walked along a running stream in the forest before finally boarding a boat and taking in the views from the water. Midday we stopped at a small local restaurant that featured many of the traditional dishes (I got the goulash) and each dish looked and tasted delicious. Overall, this is a well thought out trip and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get out of the city and connect with nature. This was one of the most memorable days of our trip! Thank you, Steven!!

The tour was amazing for pictures and scenery - as well as exercise. Alena was a wealth of information. Do this tour. We loved it.

I have done some 50+ Viator tours on 5 continents in my life. This was definitely in the top 3 of most amazing tours. Absolutely marvelous experience. Cannot recommend Alenka and Paul highly enough. They were so engaging, kind and fun. Everything on the trip is taken care of from food to drinks and even change to go to the bathroom. You do have to walk quite a lot, but it is certainly worth it. Just make sure to book on a sunny day, as it would likely be slippery otherwise. But definitely go with this company!

We had an incredible time on our hike through three beautiful mountainous areas outside of Prague. Our guide, Katie, was friendly and knowledgeable about the Czech Republic people, culture, and country side. We had a comfortable ride from our hotel with snacks and water and experienced three different areas, rich in history and beauty. We stopped for a delicious Czech lunch, and had a relaxing ride back to the hotel after a full day of fun, friendship, and amazing views and hikes. We highly recommend this tour for something different from touring the city. Katie was completely delightful!

Fantastic trip, worth the price

Overall I would rate this trip very high and we had a fantastic time. It was definitely worth the money. One thing I want to point out is that this isn't for the faint of heart or those not in shape. I don't think the description does justice how much walking (and climbing uphill to see the sites) is done. It really was strenuous, but totally worth it once you finished the hikes. It is pretty much 10-15 miles of walking total and a lot of that uphill! We loved the views and it was a great, exercise-filled day, I would highly recommend. Our tour guide was a Czech fellow that wasn't the best, he didn't seem overly interested in being there, but he did take care of us. Everything is included - lunch, entry tickets, ice cream stops, paying for the bathroom (when that was required!), so it was an easy day in that sense.
