Make your way to the Palladium Shopping Center at The Republic Square, where you’ll meet a local guide for the trip to the trailhead. Ride the metro 20 minutes to the outskirts of town, then continue on foot, walking 10 minutes to the edge of the nature reserve.
Follow a hiking trail through the forest, and climb to scenic overlooks on top of rocky cliffs. Find a valley spanned by a scenic railway line viaducts that recall Austria’s Semmering Mountain Railway. The Prokopske and neighboring Dalejske valleys are the northernmost part of the Czech Karst, a layer of sedimentary rock that melts into dramatic caves and formations, and this is the perfect place to explore the distinctive landscape. At the end of your hiking trip, visit a nearby restaurant for an authentic, local-style lunch, then make the return trip to the City Center with the hiking guide if option is selected.
