What You Can Expect

Prague City Segway Tour

Prague City Segway Tour

Begin your Segway tour in central Prague at your chosen departure time — in the morning, afternoon or evening. After a safety briefing, put on your supplied helmet and enjoy an orientation session to get comfortable with your electric, self-balancing, two-wheeled Segway.

When you feel confident, set off behind your guide through Prague’s impressive streets, tracing one of the following routes:

2-Hour Morning and Afternoon Tours:

Glide around Prague’s medieval Old Town, and snap photos of the statue-topped Charles Bridge – one of the city’s signature sights. Hear about the Old Town’s history and architecture, and continue past the splendid Rudolfinum, one of the Czech nation’s best-known concert halls, before crossing the Vltava River to the baroque quarter of Mala Strana, spread beneath Prague Castle.

Pause at the graceful façade of St Nicholas Church and then ride up to Prague Castle. Gaze at the monumental ensemble, the world’s largest ancient fortress complex, and hear about its early medieval origins.

See the Loreta Palace and whitewashed Strahov Monastery, and trace the leafy paths of Kinsky Garden past the Eiffel-Tower-like Petrin Lookout Tower. Then, return to the start point, where your tour finishes.

2-Hour Evening Tour:
Depart Prague Old Town and swing by the Jewish Quarter and Rudolfinum hall before zipping across the Vltava River to Mala Strana. Stop outside the floodlit Franz Kafka Museum and pose for photos at the Lennon Wall, so called for its graffiti inspired by the legendary Beatle.

Take in St Nicholas Church, aglitter with lights, and glide up the slopes to Prague Castle. Admire the city lights blanketed below and return across the Vltava to Wenceslas Square just as its nighttime haunts burst into life. Then, head for the floodlit beauty of Old Town Square before concluding your tour at the start point.

3-Hour Afternoon Tour:

Take the same route as the 2-hour morning and afternoon tours. Then, after a short pause at the original departure point, ride your Segway to Wenceslas Square.

Admire the equestrian statue of King Wenceslas that dominates the square, and hear about the selfless Czech heroes who protested here against Nazi occupation and communist rule.

Afterward, wend your way to magnificent Old Town Square, passing the 15th-century Powder Tower, Estates Theatre and Charles University on route.

Sweep by the Romanesque and Gothic buildings of the Old Town, and snap pictures of the legendary Astronomical Clock, the square’s main crowd-puller. Then, after passing the Old New Synagogue and Old Jewish Cemetery in the elegant Jewish Quarter, end your tour at the original departure point.
