What You Can Expect

Prague Private Custom Full-Day Tour: Prague Castle and Old Town

Enjoy a private custom full-day tour of Prague

Your morning begins with pick-up from your hotel by private Mercedes Benz vehicle. Set out on a scenic drive through the city, as your guide offers an entertaining introduction to the city’s fascinating history and key sites.

Kick off the day’s sightseeing with a visit to the hilltop Prague Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the world’s largest castle complex. Discover the remarkable variety architectural styles as you stroll around the castle buildings, and spot examples of Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, Rococo, Renaissance, and Neoclassical style. Along the way, peek into the magnificent Gothic St Vitus’s Cathedral, stroll along the picturesque Golden Lane with its tiny colorful houses, and tour the Old Royal Palace, where the highlight is the late-Gothic Vladislav Hall.

Spend time exploring the Baroque monuments, cobbled lanes and scenic canal of the Lesser Town, at the foot of Prague Castle. Perhaps stop for a typical Czech lunch (own expense) in one of the charming restaurants, then take a walk across the magnificent Charles Bridge, one of the city’s most instantly recognizable landmarks.

Finally, visit Prague’s Old Town, still the lively heart of the modern city, where you’ll have chance to visit the Old Town Square, watch the hourly display of the Astronomical Clock, and admire landmarks such as the Powder Tower and Tyn Cathedral.

After a full day taking in the city’s highlights, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Very thorough tour with lots of interesting info on politics, history, economy, culture, geography, etc. Our guide Belasz (?sp) was very well informed and fun to be with and our driver Muchael did a fine job. Just a the thing for an introductory tour of Budapest.

Definitely would recommend a private tour over a group tour. Way too many group tours going in on this city with guides speaking in speakers to the crowds. Our guide was very informative, allowed us to do what we wanted, took us to a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous view on the water. 5*!
