Eat your way through the historic center of Prague on a 4-hour food tour. The culinary adventure takes you to some of the city’s most famous and top secret eateries. Dishes may include goulash, dumplings, and roast pork. In addition to the country's world class beer, you also enjoy locally produced Moravian wines. After a piece of chimney cake, leave with a map with personalized restaurant recommendations.
It was my first time in Prague and I wanted to try Czech food but didn't really know where to go, that's why I booked this tour. My guide Eliska was great. She took me to places that are not invaded by tourists and where the food is excellent. I tried different dishes, beer and wine. Eliska gave good advice about the food and also tips for other places to go to and things to see in Prague. I had a great time and I definitely recommend this tour !
Jana our tour guide was fantastic, thnaks! We got to see and sample some of the great food spots in Prague. Great value for money, we got to try some great Czech food and some great local wines and beer. We also heard a little about Prague's history which was great. Definitely worth doing, you wont be disappointed.
What a perfect way to begin our stay in Prague -- having a local show us smaller, farm-to-table restaurants and suggesting some specialties (not touristy items) to sample. A true pleasure. Our guide was Sasha. He was exceptional. Enthusiastic. Passionate. Knowledgeable. He made the evening even more exceptional. And he recommended restaurants for our subsequent nights. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Sasha.
This was our first visit to Prague and we wanted to taste some traditional food, beer and wine as well as get an overview of the city.
Our host SaSa has lived in Prague for quite a while and had a great understanding of the food, its cultural importance, local beer and wine. During our tour we also got the visit several sites such as Republic Square, Old Town and the Square, Wenceslas Square and also several of the passages in New Town.
There was more than enough food, beer and wine (actually we were stuffed but pleasantly so) and we were able to get a great list of recommendations from SaSa that we visited while we were in town. We also went back to Spejle for lunch. A great assortment of food and in house brewed beer. The most impressive part of the tour was that SaSa sent each of us a list of the restaurants and all the food we sampled. This was a really nice touch as after 6 cities over three and a half weeks this made our visit to Prague a bit more special. This is a 5 star trip and if you want to sample the food of Prague and get a bit of history this is the tour for you
I can thoroughly recommend this tour especially if Johanna guides it.
My tour as meant to be a group tour but by circumstance I was the only participant. Johanna happily extended the tour length taking me off the nominal path to see extra sights such as the John Lennon Wall. She introduced the Czech cuisine we we tasting very well, explaining the history behind it. As well we were able to discuss in depth the differences in Australian approaches to cuisine and the Czech approach. The restaurants she took me to were upmarket and the samples ( which they graciously provided) were excellent. Finishing the evening with a glasses of Moravian Pinot and rose with cheese capped off a memorable tour.
If you get the chance do it!
I’ve been on several food tours in various cities but this one was the only tour where I loved every bite. Johanka was a perfect guide for us, teaching us history as well as some of the best food we’ve ever had!
