My tour guide was Sarka Augustinova, and she was so fun and friendly. She helped us choose authentic food at the restaurant and helped all the hikers engage in conversation together. And the tour provided hiking sticks and backpacks. Plus the car we took had wifi on it. Overall, she was amazing, and for my first hike ever it was a very good experience.

This tour was amazing and definitely worth the money! We chose the Pravcicka Gate Hike and Boats 15km hike. Firstly, the tour was well organised and had great attention to detail - I was contacted soon after booking the tour to check that my fitness level would be suitable for the hike, and the day before the tour, Northern Hikes sent me a confirmation email along with an introduction info about my tour guide Nicole. On the day, we were provided with a welcome pack full of useful things - including snacks banana and muesli bar, water bottle, travel motion sickness pill, and hand wipe. Super considerate!

Secondly, Nicole was an absolutely wonderful tour guide - she was very outgoing, knowledgeable, and caring. She made sure we kept pace but did not over-rush the stragglers, really looked after us esp. me, since I unfortunately still had the flu on the day of the tour, managed our time and exertion expectations well, and kept us engaged throughout the entire day.

Thirdly, the itinerary itself was well planned out and not too rushed, and hiking through the national park was really enjoyable - the views were simply stunning. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off at the door at the end of the day and started the day around 8:30am. It took us about 2 hours until we reached the arch Pravčická brána - there were some uphills but overall the inclination wasn't too high and not too exhausting. After a short break and various photo opportunities, we continued into the park for another 2 hours until we reached our lunch destination covered by the tour. Nicole introduced all the foods to us and made some really fantastic recommendations.

Following lunch, we walked deeper into the park for another hour or so to get to the boating area. The walk was filled with absolutely pictureque landscape and foliage, rivers, and rocks, we couldn't help but stop and take photos every so often. There was a slight wait 15-20 min for the boat but given the amount of people queueing on the day, the lines moved through fairly quickly and the boat ride was really enjoyable.

Overall, the tour definitely exceeded my expectations and was one of the highlights of my Europe trip. Nicole was a wonderful tour guide and the weather was a bit chilly but sunny nonetheless, making the full day hike such a great experience. Of course, it also helped that I was grouped with other really amicable travelers in our small group tour 8 people max. I would definitely recommend Northern Hikes/this tour to others.

We had a wonderful day. Nicole picked us up promptly and after a second stop to pick up 4 others she drove expertly through the fog which cleared as we pulled in to the park. The walking and the scenery were amazing and around 2:00 we stopped for a late lunch and a couple of beers ( try the blend of light and dark). The highlight was the flat bottomed boat ride though the narrow canyon river at the the point where the trail could not cut its way through the rock any further - unforgettable!Nicole was a knowledgeable, fun and skilled tour guide who made sure all her guests had the best day out possible (thank you!). After getting back to the van at around 6:00 we were back to our hotel at around 7:30. We highly recommend this experience.

I opted for the 15-km hike and am so glad I did! The hike itself is definitely for people who are fitter/regularly active because it is a long day, but there wasn't a lot of straight climbing some stairs, but the inclines were very gentle. Pravcicka brana was utterly stunning, and getting to walk through Bohemian National Park was really lovely beautiful scenery, and the sandstone is so cool.

I was in a really nice group with three other hikers, and our guide Martin was the best -- friendly, kind and funny, and super knowledgeable about the park, the Bohemia region and the country.

This day trip was the highlight of my time in Prague. :

This hike is definitely not for couch potatoes, it's a mildly strenuous hike (figure 15 miles) with some incline, but not anything terribly steep (more like lots of stairs). If you are reasonably fit this is the hike for you! Beautiful scenery abounds around every corner. Our guide Sarka was extremely fun and made the hike even more enjoyable being always quick to smile and laugh - like she is living her dream!

We had a great time in this tour from riding SUV to riding boat... Sharka was accommodating and great company. I love those sceneries.

We (me, 27, and my mom, 65) went for the easy day trip. Martin was incredibly kind, patient and informative.
The ride was comfy, they really thought of every tiny detail. On my opinion they should get more water per person (500ml is really not enough), but that was not an issue - when needed, Martin bought more,
Walking to the boat ride was easy and everything around you is simply Nature at his best :).
Even though Martin did translate for us, I wish the boat operator knew English.
The restaurant offers only 4 Vegetarian dishes, the one I tried was ok, nothing more. The carnivores next to me, though, seems to enjoy the food.
The second part of the day was definitely my favorite - the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Words can not describe.
The only minus about this trip - I sat on the back of the vehicle, and could not hear Martin talking and explaining.

Opted for the 'easy' tour and had a wonderful experience on the day. Organisation is exceptional, with up to date details from the day of booking till the day before the actual tour.

Our tour guide Tonypicked us up on time from our residence and spent all the day with us. He was very well prepared, very informative and attentive to details. He drove us to the locations, took us around the two parks, came to the boat ride with us and joined us for lunch. The hike was very easy and the views were a natural wonder. Lunch was adequate. Had a good laugh during the boat ride. We took loads and loads of pictures that will remind us of this beautiful place.

I recommend this tour to everyone who loves nature... I did it with my parents in their 70s and my kids who are still young and we all enjoyed the day out.

Special thanks go to Hela who was in contact with me since booking and to Tony who was patient enough with all of us on the day.

Safe to say that this was the highlight of the trip to Prague. Even though we did not have any hiking experience apart from some long walks, this was still a good choice.

We were picked up from our hotel and then another stop at another hotel for 2 other travellers to join us. Even before we arrived, our guide gave us general information about Prague as well as about the National Park. Once we arrived, we started walking with a few stops here and there for more insights about the surroundings. Views and scenery were AMAZING ! Lunch was very good with traditional Czech food and beer. We also had a boat ride to get across to another part of the river. Our tour guide, Dalibor apart from being fluent in English, was very knowledgeable about the park, its history and plans for the future, as well as easy-going and with a good sense of humour which made the experience even better. Highly recommended !
