What You Can Expect

Small-Group Hidden Prague Walking Tour of Old Town

Discover secret passages during your walking tour

Make your own way to the start point in central Prague and meet your guide. Then, step out on your 2.5-hour, small-group walking tour of the lesser-known side of Prague.

Steer away from the tourist hotspots to explore hidden neighborhoods, quiet streets, secret gardens and tucked-away corners, all known and loved by locals yet largely missed by visitors.

Along the way, your guide will share insider anecdotes about life in the city, as well as historical nuggets. Hear how, having been built before urban planning, Prague grew organically into webs of cobbled lanes spun around churches and other monuments.

It was only later that planners added grandiose squares and architectural gems, leaving countless little nooks and crannies around Prague Old Town that beg to be explored.

Trace the winding walkways that link the Old Town Square to Wenceslas Square and Republic Square, and hear how these tiny passageways never appear on tourist maps. Only locals know these medieval routes, and with your guide providing directions, you’ll be free to absorb the atmosphere and surrounding history as you stroll.

In between walking and talking, stop for photos as your guide reveals the stories behind the most interesting sights.

After 2.5 hours, your tour concludes near the Old Town Square.

Great guide. Fun sense of humor. The facts behind the stories are what made this interesting. A great quick evening tour.

Michael gave us a very interesting tour and talk He was very well informed and showed us parts of the city which we would never have seen! He also spent a good deal of time explaining the historical significance of St. Wenceslas Square which gave us a much better informed view. We were particularly fascinated by the brass pavement plaques commemorating those people who had been deported and died in concentration camps.

We really enjoyed this tour. Mattie our guide was lovely, very knowledgeable, and paced the tour well. We learnt many interesting things about Prague, its history, buildings and points of interest which we wouldn't have otherwise known or appreciated. This tour definitely enriched our experience of Prague.

Wonderful experience - I was the only one booked the day I went, so I ended having a private tour. Lots of interesting history and many lovely places that I wouldn't have seen on my own. A lovely way to spend the morning.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better July 2015

The tour guide was good, but I was the only one in the tour. Kind of makes the experience a little uncomfortable for both of us. The voucher needs to include the actual address of the meeting place. Only by accident did I find their office which was 100 meters down the road and around the corner.
