What You Can Expect

Iguassu Falls Day Tour from Puerto Iguazú with Waterfall Boat Ride

Iguassu Falls

After being collected from your hotel in Puerto Iguazú, you'll be shuttled a brief distance via coach to Iguazú National Park. Accompanied by a knowledgable guide, visit the Argentine side of Iguassu Falls. Here, a network of over 250 individual waterfalls carry the Iguazú River over the falls at the astonishing rate of 400,000 gallons (1.5 million liters) per second.

Choose from two options, both of which take a full 8-hour day.

Boat tour only:
Your guide will take you through all three of the national park's three tiers, each of which provides a significantly different view of the spectacular falls. On the lower trail, descend into a misty, echoing cavern, thundering with the sound of rushing water. The significant climb to the top of the upper trail will deposit you on a footbridge spanning the falls that gives unparalleled panoramic views. Your expert guide will provide you with naturalist information and guidance, but you are free to explore at your own pace.

Board a boat for the authentic Iguassu experience: being drenched by its mighty waters. You'll be safely ferried through the falls themselves, so be sure to bring your foul weather gear. After drying off, you'll be dropped back at your hotel.

Tour with jungle-truck ride and boat ride:

Climb into an off-road vehicle for a 5-mile (8-km) through the verdant jungle, viewing abundant native flora such as palm, palo santo and bromelia along your path. Keep an eye out for butterflies flitting among the orchids as your guide teaches you about the tropical forest and its inhabitants.

The truck will deliver you to Macuco Port and you'll transfer to motorboat for a 4-mile (6-km) cruise down the Iguassu River. During the final mile, shoot the rapids of the Iguassu River Canyon, passing close to waterfalls like the Three Musketeers and San Martin Falls. Disembark for a short break on San Martin Island before heading back to the port and being returned to your hotel.

We had a blast . many people, groups choose different sections, would have been good if separate for adventure boat tour from others but the highlight other than the great views was the waterfall boat tour.. lots of fun.. and very wet! Can use Visa for gate entry but need passport ID otherwise cash

Even though it was raining for the walking section of the tour, this did not spoil the fantastic views. The boat ride was awesome. It takes you right under the falls with tons of water falling right on top of you. Warning : do not have food in front of or around the monkeys and coaties!

Recommend you do the tour with the option to do the board ride at the bottom of the falls - it was the most fun we had! you will get completely soaked by going close to the falls. At the beginning of the tour we went through two trails - I preferred the second trail as you get a different view you'll do both anyway. January is a busy time and high-season so lots of people are around but the tour guide really kept everyone together.

This was an amazing experience. The Falls are breathtaking and this is the only real way to experience them! The boat ride took us under the falls and we got soaked, but we loved it! The only tough part was climbing the 300 steps afterwards in soaked clothing and shoes. We highly recommend this tour!!!

We had a great day. Iguazu Falls is a truly amazing place to visit. Our guide Miguel was excellent. Very good English. We arrived early and got off to a good start on the first train to the furthest part of the park to see Devils Throat Falls. Great pictures awesome sight. From there Miguel expertly guided us around the park to view all the waterfall sights. We were not able to do the short waterfall boat ride as planned as it was not operating so Miguel arranged tickets for us at additional cost on the longer tour with jungle bus ride and waterfall tour. This was more strenuous than we anticipated but we did enjoy it. An excellent day.
