What You Can Expect

Puerto Montt Shore Excursion: Petrohué Falls Tour

Petrohue Falls

After your cruise ship docks at the picturesque port of Puerto Montt, greet your guide and climb aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan. Sink into your seat and enjoy the scenic drive across the southern shore of Lake Llanquihue. Arrive at the spectacular Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park and embark upon a gentle hike to Petrohue Falls.
Absorb arresting natural landmarks as you stroll, marveling at waterfalls tumbling down the slopes of volcanic rocks. Gaze at iridescent spectrums of blue and green water and inhale the fragrant air of a dense forest before capturing the powerful waterfall on camera.
Continue to All Saints Lake, declared the Emerald Lake due to the glittering variety of color that sparkles on its surface, and enjoy an optional boat ride to the provincial village of Ensenada. Feast upon a traditional Chilean lunch in a rustic restaurant (own expense) then set out to discover the secretive and seclude Laguna Verde, a lake enveloped by dense forest.
Return to the minivan and relax during the return journey to Puerto Montt; arrive well in advance of your cruise ship departure time.

Great tour which included Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas and the national park. Awesome scenery, absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Jaime was wonderful-knowledgeable and fun to be with. We highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful park that shows every side of the volcanoes. Our guide took us on a boat tour of the lake near the pictured volcano. We also went to the falls, and had an all around amazing tour. Puerto Varas was also an absolutely beautiful town. Highly recommended tour.

The guide was excellent. The driver very safe. The gigantic horse flies that are only there in January were awful but not the fault of the tour.

Marcello was a fantastic guide. He guided us to places we would have not seen with all the other tours buses. great tour, guide and scenery.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better March 2015

Did not get to see the volcano due to the clouds...not their fault. On return, stopped for lunch, for tourists,
with very slow service and ok food. This meal was at our cost.....would have preferred to go to a local place in the main city of Puerto Varas. The itinerary said that after lunch to visit Laguna Verde,,,,,,,a hidden pathway in a thick forest of coihue trees. That never happened. For the almost $500 cost of
this tour for two......don't bother.
