Once your cruise ship docks in Puerto Plata's Amber Cove, discover the secluded Damajagua Waterfalls on this full-day trip. Tucked in the hills of the Dominican Republic's Northern Corridor, explore twelve of twenty-seven pristine falls cascading over limestone with your local guide. Get a short safety briefing, then jump, swim and slide down natural waterslides. Lunch, beverages, safety equipment and round-trip transportation from the cruise terminal are included. Please read about the option to go all the way to the top in the exclusions section.
The waterfall trip is absolutely worth it. Floating, sliding and jumping down waterfalls is a once in a lifetime experience. Our guides were very helpful and the pictures and videos they took were excellent. Rum And coke and the dinner after the falls was the icing on the cake.
highly recommend, make sure you are in somewhat in shape. Hike is a bit more that moderate with about 500 ft of elevation. Not recommended for kids under 10. I would definitely do again.
If you are looking for an adrenaline rush, this is the tour for you. I was pleasantly surprised with the concern for safety and the steps taken to keep everyone safe. This is a DR National Park and each person gets a helmet and life vest before the climb up to the falls. You also have experienced life guards assigned to each group. The meal at the end was delicious. This is an excursion you will never forget. Roel was a great tour guide and I would definitely recommend Iguana Mama.
We loved this tour and LOVED our guides!!!! We want to come back and do all 27 waterfalls next year. Amazing.............
This was a really fun and unique experience. The guides were great and showed us exactly where to jump on some of the higher waterfalls. I only wish we had one for the extended tour!
My husband and two sons ages 21 and 17 went on this excursion and absolutely loved it. They said it was definitely in their top 10 of outdoor adventures right up their with gliding down the largest zip-line in the Americans. I could have done the climb, but I am not a fan of high jumps, especially into fairly cold water so I spent the day touring and was glad I did. If you love adventures and have no fear then this is a must do!
Although it is a strenuous hike to the to the beginning of the falls it is well worth the trip. The water flow was down some but it was still an exhilarating experience.
We had so much fun, the tour guides were really nice and patient. Raul was absolutely great, he even spoke german with me! We will probably come back and do this one again.
We had the best time ever. Michael, Raul and Alex with Iguana Mama were very professional.
The waterfall experience was awesome and my daughters and I had the time of our lives. Nothing could have been better. Thanks so much u guys!!!!
Great fun. Tour guides were great. Lunch was great and the hike through the falls was excellent. Would do it again. They got us back in plenty of time to shop and make the boat.
