Explore Palawan’s capital city on a tour of Puerto Princesa highlights: see historic sites, visit the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center, enjoy views across the Honda Bay from Mitra Farm, and shop for hand-crafted souvenirs. This afternoon tour of Puerto Princesa includes entrance fees at each location as well as round-trip transport from your hotel in Puerto Princesa.
Start with pickup at your hotel in Puerto Princesa, then travel to the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, where the first mass in Puerto Princesa was held in 1872. Just next door to the cathedral is Plaza Cuartel, once a military fort that was the site of tragic events under Japanese occupation during WWII.
Continue to the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center, often called the “crocodile farm,” then see hundreds of Philippine crocodiles, an endangered species that are native to the country. Try a few sweet treats at Baker’s Hill, the perfect spot to sample unique pastries such as hopia, a sweet roll filled with bean paste.
Drive to the hilltop Mitra Farm, where you’ll find a shady veranda that looks out at the Honda Bay, as well as horses and cows in carefully-tended pastures. If desired, you may add on a visit to the Butterfly Garden, among the most colorful destinations in Palawan.
Before returning to your hotel, browse for unique souvenirs in Binuatan Creations and Tiangge-Tiangge, a pair of shops that offer a wide selection of handmade crafts from around the island. This tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

We hit all the spots promised on the tour itinerary, which is cool enough. The driver, however, wasn't very interactive, and there were 4 of us, plus the driver, packed into a subcompact. Still, it was a nice way to spend our last afternoon on Palawan.
