Fun and well worth the price. I would highly recommend this tour.
We enjoyed our guide taking us to some great places for some fabulous food and drink. I would recommend this tour. We took it while our cruise ship was in Puerto Vallarta.
We very much enjoyed our food tour! Highly recommend, even to folks that think they know a lot about Old Town and places to go! Introduced us to so many new places! Looking forward to our next trip and being able to re-visit some of these tasty places!
Our guide was awesome! He took use to great places in town and we got to each a great variety of food. I even went back to the places later in the week because the food was so great!
Loved this food tour with Anna Maria! She was very knowledgable about the area and the taco stands and restaurants we visited. We enjoyed every step of the journey and the food was amazing. We were stuffed. As a tip to others who may book this trip, skip breakfast!
Lobo was a great guide for our tour, very kind and knowledgeable. Food was fantastic!
This was a fantastic tour. Anna Maria was a great guide. She knew so much about not only the places we toured but the history of Puerto Vallarta. She knew all of the great places to eat and shop and shared her knowledge willingly. We would definitely do this again with the night time tour.
Anna Maria could not have been a better host. She was personable and friendly. She was very accommodating for my husband's physical challenges. We had a wonderful day with her. We saw her the next day at a coffee shop she recommended, and she was delighted to visit with us again. The food was fantastic. We can't wait to go back to Puerto Vallarta and take this tour again!
Best tour ever, food amazing, history amazing, and saw so much of the area!! Lots of walking, it was about 5 miles so wear comfortable shoes. It was the best day and would highly recommend it to anyone.
This tour was AMAZING! Ricardo was the best guide. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining. I recommend going your first or second day so you can try the restaurants during your stay. I would definitely do another tour with Viator.
Tour was great! We definitely went places we wouldn and #39;t have alone. If you do this tour you have to be open to trying new things. Nothing crazy of course but this is a food tour. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes we did lots of walking!
A must do!! Our guide Alex was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. We visited a number of establishments, some that we may have never known about if it wasn't for the tour and Alex. Individuals in our group, including me, ate items we would have never tried.... Alex converted me --- the seafood was fantastic! This tour is highly recommended.
Our knowledgeable tour guide Alex took us to places I would never dream of going. On this tour I got the finest tacos, cerviche, carnitas I ever had at places I never knew existed. At every stop we got stories about the places, the food we were eating and the area we were in. The tour ends one block from the Malecon. A must do in Puerto Vallarta. Alex has a personality for the job. He's very friendly, intelligent and a great story teller.
We did the Downtown Puerto Vallarta Food Tour and it was EXCELLENT! We cannot recommend it enough, and suggest doing it at the start of your time in PV as there are places you will definitely want to go back to!
We love Mexican food and love good food, but would have been leery to eat at food trucks and buy a beverage from a street vendor on the Malecon in PV... we did both on this tour and it was all delicious.
Ricardo, our guide, was a wealth of information about PV, and exposed us to some great food. We returned to two of the restaurants later in our trip, and were delighted to have discovered these little treasures. Highly recommended for the start of the vacation, so you can take advantage of this useful information.
This was one of the most enjoyable tours we have ever taken! Anna Marie was so well informed and pleasant to be with. She shared a wealth of information and introduced us to some wonderful people. We would never eat at the food vendors before but learning about their families and how well prepared the fresh the food was opened up a world to tasty treats! Thanks so much for a great tour!
This was very fun and I highly recommend! A great way to see the city and sample a variety of foods and places to go back to if you wish.
My wife and I were extremely pleased by the food tour! What a fantastic way to learn a city. There was a great variety of food and you walk away very very full. It was a great value and for the rest of our trip we went back to town to eat from the various vendors we visited. Thanks guys!
My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. The food was great and we returned to some of the restaurants to enjoy more delicious food. Ricardo was a great guide and seemed to have all the answers to any question about PV. I highly recommend this tour.

What a nice experience. Ricardo was our guide for this tour. Not only did he go to tour guide school. but he was a history major in school and was able to expound on various historical questions we asked. There were six of us on the tour. Bring good waking shoes - there is quite a bit of walking and some uneven ground. We went to more places that were on the itinerary and each was a unique experience. Ricardo explained the uniqueness of each place, the number of years in business, how they prepared the food, the history of the dishes, and so on. There were probably 10 or so different small portion samples from mostly small business owners. The food and historical perspectives made this a tour I would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting PV for the first time or 15th! We had some amazing food, wonderful service and our tour guide was informative and fun. A great experience!
Our guide, Alex, was funny, informative and loved sharing stories with our group. He guided us along a route that held samples of many types of Mexican cuisine and beverage, from fresh coconut milk and seasoned coconut, a drink called Tuba, Mexican sweets stores and a fresh tortilla factory. We moved on to share tequila shots and tortilla soup and 2 types of mole complex and interesting flavors. There was a civeche restaurant as well as street food Birra sorry for the spelling. Thanks go out to the tour company and the vendors and restaurants who accommodated my vegetarian lifestyle. This was a fun and informative tour and we'd do it again in a minute! We booked this for a cruise stop and were not rushed.
