It was okay. After having been on smaller tours this one wasn't intimate enough. The tour was okay. Our guide talked a little too much and was a little controlling. Kinda like when you use to go on a bus trip in elementary school. Some people might like that but my sister and I didn't.
A Taste of Puerto Vallarta

The entire tour was amazing but the finally at the end at the tequila distillery was the icing on the cake! A walk back in time with old world feel & a delicious lunch. WONDERFUL!
Viator Representative Failed Me!
, Apr 2019
I wish I could review this tour that I booked on the phone with a Viator representative but I can’t because we didn’t get to take it. The Viator rep failed to know that my cruise line (even though informed which one we were on) arrived into port an hour later than the tour time. So, when we arrived at the hotel pick up location (20 minutes early so we thought), it was really an hour later and the tour pick up time was missed. No answer on phone number given, no refund, no tour taken. Apparently, time of arrival is ship time, not Mexican local time. Had someone informed me of this, I would have never booked and paid for this tour. Viator does not seem informed enough to book tours for cruise guests so please do not book if on a cruise!

It was OK. We didnt see the Arch or visit the charming town of Mismaloya. I felt too much time was allotted to visiting a high pressure silver store. Lunch was not at a restaurant. We were offered a menu of only four items, all large and expensive, at the tequila factory. A missed opportunity to have lunch in a authentic Mexican restaurant.

Important to reconfirm once you get to PV. We didn't but the tour folks helped us catch up and even paid for our cabfare!! The tour was very informative and the guide was knowledgeable. Some walking but mostly even and flat surfaces. Bus tour was safe and pleasant. Distillery was interesting and the tequila fantastic! Lunch on the way back was at a restaurant in the middle of nowhere however, it was clean, the staff were friendly and the food was fantastic! Cash only, though. Would highly recommend and go back again.

The tour, tour guide, and bus driver were all very nice. Could of done without going to the silver store as the sales people are high pressure and won't let you shop. The guy that followed us around told us come on folks I need to make a sale just give me your credit card! The Tequila tasting and river area were the best stops. Really wish we would of been picked up on the correct day as going on this trip early in your stay would be the most helpful in planning the rest of your days in PV.
