This was a lot of fun. The guide is from Cuba and he was the best!!! Very welcoming. My husband especially liked this one. He got to really rip through the country side and splash through the puddles!!!
Our guide Ivan Rosales and his assistant were extremely pleasant and quite knowledgible about anything we had a question about, whether it pertained to the terrain, plants, cave dwellings, etc., etc. Great sense of humor also. The dune buggies supplied are primarily open with a roll cage and were quite capable with regard to acceleration and handling the rough terrain. Just in case of a mechanical problem which we did not have, a mechanic follows in another buggy. I would certainly recommend this excursion over others that claim to be similar. We spoke to some folks at our resort with regard to their experiences with other tours...and they all seemed dissappointed that they did not join us instead. Make sure you bring goggles and a scarf to cover your face from the dust. Also consider bringing a couple of shower caps from your resort to put on your head under the helmets supplied. Just a precaution as my wife is paranoid about getting cooties from someone else's head This is a total thumbs up tour!!!

I liked this tour ALOT! The guide was awesome, he referred to me as Booker T from WWE because of my hair. We did the mudding with the dune buggy and also drove by the country side and got to see the locals who were waving to us as we drove by. We also walked through the cave and swung from a vine which was awesome!
My bestie and I were the only ones that signed up for this tour so we had a personal guide! GREAT! Bring your own bandana and shades to cover your eyes or you will need to purchase from them. Stops included a local cook house and ancient cave. Very relaxed tour since we could take our time since just us. Plenty of children along the road waving for change as you drive by so if you want to have dollars to toss along the road, they love it, as you cant stop.
We had a great time on this excursion. Our guides were super nice and made this trip fun! I would recommend doing it! Be sure to bring clothing that u don’t mind throwing away. We got so muddy since it rained on our way back.

OMG!!!! this trip was AMAZING !!!!!!!!! We had so much fun and got dirty ,which was the best part of being on these type of trips . The tour guide was awesome ... EVERYONE should do this trip when they visit DR.
Great time! Caves where really fun. Plan to get very dirty! Dress accordingly with comfortable tennis shoe for stairs and rocks in the caves!
This was an awesome experience! My husband and I really enjoyed it! Driving and riding in the buggy was fun. We drove to a local house, where we were able see how many locals live day-to-day. We also went on a guided cave tour. I would highly recommend this buggy adventure! Make sure you bring your own glasses and bandana, otherwise you'll pay triple the price once you arrive. Expect to get dirty. I think we were extra dirty, because my husband was speeding over a water/dirt puddle.
I had an Awesome experience. Ivanhoe was an excellent guide. The whole experience was FUN. Driving the buggys..the mud holes..the caves..the stop for coffee...LOVED IT!!!! Well worth the time and money!!! My ONLY problem, which I cannot take a star from, because it did not have anything to do with the Buggys, there were FROGS in the bathroom!!! Scared me to death!!! Ivanhoe and his team were very friendly and made the experience FUN!!!! You will get dirty and muddy!!! Bring goggles and a scarf. If you do not want to get muddy, bring a raincoat. ENJOY!!!
This was a really fun adventure. If you like a bumpy and dirty ride this is for you. I enjoyed it thoroughly. and #34;Muhammad Ali and #34; was a great person and guide.
A really good time. The fact that it rained the day before actually made it more fun. They picked us up at our hotel on time, we drove to another hotel to pick up a group, and then we got an early start. The caves were really impressive, very cool stalactite/stalagmite formations. The Flintstones theme was a little cheesy but didn't take anything away from the experience.
It was very great! The tour guide was nice and welcoming. Wish we could have drove for longer tho! The ride was about 20-30 minutes.
This Tour was so much fun !! the guide was really funny and made sure that everyone had a good time. Really recommend this tour if you want to do something different give this a go.
Oh my goodness so we got the VIP experience, we love jeancarlos aka Mohammed ali he was wonderful, humble and very nice and informative, he really went above his way to show us the cave he was very nice, i recommend this trip it was my husbands favorite also tip him after the cave aside from every1.
Family of 4 Buffalo, NY. Booked with Viator before trip. Some of the excursions were sold out so we were glad we had signed up ahead of time. Interesting that they needed a hotel room number before we were officially signed up, which obviously would not happen until we arrived, which made the communication process for when we were picked up at the hotel lacking with all the excursions through Viator. Anyway, no worries....This company was prompt. Picked us up in a Flintstones bus. And the trip was fabulous. We had a great time, at first I was skeptical since we were traveling on a broken old concrete road, but then the terrain changed. We went through areas where we saw cows, dogs, chicken. Stopped at a farm house which was also a little local store. Got to take a tour of their house, very interesting and very cordial. Sampled coffee. We were able to see the city from afar. Went through a cave. Totally awesome. It had rained the day before our trip and yes, it was muddy and fun. Expect to get very diry. Exceeded our expectations. Other companies tried to state their adventure was better. We even had a touring company try to steal us as we waiting for this company to pick us up. I highly recommend this adventure. Bring a few dollars to tip your driver and the area locals.
This guided buggy tour allows you to drive a buggy through a town and passed many farms to a couple of caves. Juan Carlos aka Mohammed Ali is a great guide. He is very nice and informative. The buggy is quick, fun and easy to drive. Be sure to bring a towel and maybe a shirt to change into afterwords. You will get muddy, especially if it rains. You may want to even bring a rain coat to stay dry. Be sure to book this tour. You will not regret it.
A lot of fun! It rained that morning so the roads were slightly wet. It rained more when we were inside the cave, so our drive back was very muddy. Beware that YOU WILL GET MUDDY, so make sure to wear old clothes and shoes. We bought goggles and bandanas too, very helpful to keep the mud out of your eyes, nose, and mouth. The buggy was very easy to drive and the roads easy to follow. Our guide was great, taking time to explain everything and stopping to take photos of us. We had a small group so the trip was fun because we weren't stuck behind anyone driving slow. We stopped at a local shop/house and explored their house and garden before arriving at the caves. We got served local coffee and didn't get pushed to buy anything from the shop. It was nice chatting with the locals. The buggy itself has a roof, so helped with the sun. The guide's buggy doesn't have a top though.
There's 2 caves, both pretty but be careful walking through them because some flooring may be uneven or slick and slippery. Wear your helmet too! The 2nd cave had some Flintstones decor which was cute but unnecessary to make the cave a nice place to visit. Wonder who's idea was it to decorate it like that. Quirky.
Since it's a 2 person buggy, one of us drove to the cave and the other drove back. Very bumpy ride and a lot of quick maneuvering to avoid holes. YOU WILL GET SPLASHED!! Definitely don't do this if you have back problems!! Make sure you wear your seat belt!
Back at their base, there's outdoor showers and indoor bathrooms to use to clean up. There's a small shop selling tasty Mamajuana too. Overall, this was a lot of fun and we'll definitely do this again when we're back in DR. Thank you for the great experience!
Great trip you start off road and stay off road It had been raining you could hit any puddle you wanted to or go around if you didn't The wife and I were full of mud from head to toe we got to the cave had a great tour. No locals there trying to sell you junk you could relax after about 30 mins. we started back went a different way and had more fun and got more muddy on the way back.
This tour was great. Ivan made sure everything was good to go for my trip and was in constant contact with me and had a warm welcome upon our arrival. John Paul was our tour guide and he was great and very entertaining. This is a highly recommended tour for anyone wanting to have fun. What was even better was that this tour was in a small group of maybe 5 or 6 buggies vs some other companies who have up too 20 buggies per tour. All the buggies were very well maintained and had no problem. Everyone there was a joy to go on the tour with!
Was a lot of fun! So worth the money you pay. This was one of my favorite! Buy the pictures! Worth the money. Amazing day!
This tour was amazing. I would do it again. Tour guide was awesome. We enjoyed every minute. Would highly recommend to anyone!
This tour was a lot of fun! The tour guides were great. Lots of neat things to see. I really enjoyed the tour. :
