Phenomenal Full-Day Tour to Santo Domingo
Nanaefua_E, Jan 2022
The Full-Day tour to Santo Domingo was phenomenal. I highly recommend this tour. The tour driver was professional and knowledgeable.
A Capital Adventure!
Charles_B, Jan 2022
We had a great experience beginning with our interaction with the booking agent, Hope. She went out of her way to answer all of our questions and ensure that we knew our pick up location since we are not staying in a hotel. The bus ride was comfortable with a rest stop with clean rest rooms near the middle of drive. Our guide, Darius, was informative throughout the trip and the bus ride was an educational experience about life and culture in the Dominican Republic. He was smart, knowledgeable, and funny and definitely made the trip more enjoyable. The driver, Rene, was safe and courteous. Lunch was delicious in a clean, efficient restaurant. I recommend the fish! The Colonial Zone was a lesson in the history of western civilization. The Cathedral was beautiful. A lot of walking, but well worth it!
A very fun experience - but not perfect

For the most we really enjoyed the trip. Here is what I liked and didn’t like: Pros -plenty of bathroom breaks -large, air conditioned bus - we got to see a lot of the city from the bus - the lunch they provided was very good in my opinion Cons- -they take you to a lot of places where it’s obvious they only take you there because they get kickbacks (the chocolate “factory” and the final souvenir store) -We were on a bus with both Spanish and German speakers, so everything had to be done in three languages.
Good way to learn more about the Republic Dominican.

Good option to know more about the republic Dominican and Santo Domingo The full attention from the guide was the key of the success
We were picked-up from...

We were picked-up from the hotel on time and transferred to a larger bus. Agency that handled the tour was "Runners Adventure" and the guide was Dario. The staff were all very nice and provided a lot of information along 2hr+ ride to Santa Domingo. The bus ride was long but comfortable, there was a stop along the way at a chocolate factory/shop for snacks and to use bathrooms. The city buildings and churches are beautiful. There is a fair bit of walking in the old city, and unfortunately we got a lot of rain on that day; thankfully the tour agency provided us with umbrellas, but you might want to carry one! Lunch was delicious local fare. The description of the tour on Viator is a little different from what we saw (no museum or light-house, but we saw the Jesuit church), but overall the experience was very good.
Enjoyable experience

Enjoyed the tour guide, he spoke multiple languages fluently and was very knowledgeable! He really made your enjoyable and as comfortable as possible.
Educational day but long from Punta Cana.
Amy_B, Dec 2021
The tour was amazing but I would not recommend it for small children. It was a very long day from Punta Cana resorts. We stopped at a few interesting places had lunch and then lastly went to Columbus park. The lunch was a buffet style that had standard Dominican food but there was something for everyone. On the way back to the resorts we stopped at a small chocolate factory and had some samples. It was a beautiful day with a couple of short bursts of rainfalls which is typical for the region. Our tour guide spoke Spanish, English and German for our group which was a bit confusing but we understood most of it. Everyone was kind and friendly. I was worried about safety in the capital but we never felt unsafe at all. The vendors approached with their jewelry, souvenirs and paintings but we're respectful when we declined.
interesting was to visit the capital of the dominican republic

good experience I recommend , the agency was fast and the payment was easy. left to be desired as the information of the guide and terrible meal.

Too long on a crowded and congested bus
Vijay_V, Nov 2021
Too much time spent traveling (pick up, change bus, wait, etc) and too little time actual sightseeing.

Disappointed
DonLegere, Oct 2021
When the tour started we had 6 English speaking couples on board. All of us had booked an ENGLISH tour. The bus met up with 4 other buses all of which had English speakers, however they filled our bus with Spanish speakers. Although our guide spoke English 80% of the time he spoke Spanish. With 4 bus loads we could have filled a bus with English speakers and ha a better experience.
