Great Tour...We enjoy horseback riding along the beach quite a bit. Make sure you bring mosquito repellent. We forgot to bring ours so went home with a lot of bites.
I was a bit timid at first. The people at the ranch hank-picked a gentle, obedient horse for me to ride and I thoroughly enjoyed myself and overcame my fears that were a result of a bad fall in my teens. Yeah for victory and pleasure. The beach ride is beautiful and the trail ride gives you a chance to cool off a bit. Yes, you will be asked to pay for pictures taken. This is common on tours. Bring money for the CD and other souvenirs. It takes money to keep the horses healthy. You get a bottle of rum with your picture on it along with the CD.
Quite the experience. We had alot of fun.. Riding on a beautiful secluded beach was amazing
I had the chance to meet Julio who was such a great horse! The beach was beautiful. Definitely recommend and would do it again!
Great tour! The guides are extremely friendly. The horses are easy to work with no matter your experience. The views on the beach are extraordinary....best deal for the money!
Absolutely amazing!! This was my first ever experience of horse riding and I thoroughly enjoyed it! the staff were great and very helpful. it was lovely going along the beach and having the odd gallop! we stopped halfway through at a beautiful area where there was a gentleman selling coconuts for 1 each which was much needed in the heat! I would highly recommend this trip and when I return to the Dominican republic I will definitely without doubt book this excursion again!
My sister and I had such a wonderful time! Galloping across the beach is a priceless experience. Our guide was wonderful and I can't say anything negative about the experience.
Great experience! Very friendly, made you feel like family. The horses were so sweet and friendly. They have very sweet and friendly dogs on the property. I am a animal lover so that was a major plus! Take pictures the whole way. Book on Viator and you get a free bottle of rum with your souvenir picture on it. You get a very long trip for your money. PUT ON TONS OF BUGS SPRAY, AND TAKE EXTRA WITH YOU. Thank you Oscar for the great experience!
Loved it. Would give it 5 stars, but for the fact that the photo offering was absurdly expensive, 90 whereas most tours offer packages around 40. The tour itself was more than worth the price! The guides were great about taking pictures with our phones and making sur everyone had fun, while at the same time being safe, based on their individual abilities. Daniel was a great guide and was always attentive and making sur we were having fun. We went through the jungle and on the beach. A shout out to my horse, Palomo, who performed spectacularly! Definitly use this place!
This tour was good. Very nice experience our guide was very nice and helpful. The pictures were a expensive 90 dollars for the disc and you could not purchase individual pictures. However I do have my free bottle of rum with our picture on it as my souvenir.
This trip was a first of many...first time riding a horse. My overall experience was GREAT!! Being that I have never rode a horse in my life this experience made it worth while even though I was the last in my group. The guide was very patient, polite, engaging, and at times funny. He would whistle and the horses trotted to the rhythm even though I was ok with a slow gait. I would most definitely select this activity again.
Great time, very picturesque... Bring your own water, even the early ride was HOT!
Had a blast horseback riding on the white sandy beaches of Punta Cana about an hour north of our resort. Highly recommended, guides were goods, horses were fun. They even took photos for us! Highly encourage, and a fair price for all.
It was a nice ride, but I felt the horses were too thin and not getting the best of care.
Was expecting to do some galloping but didn't. The group was quite large, but otherwise a nice excursion. The beach was beautiful.
The tour was great and the guides were friendly. As one reviewer suggested, we took lots of bug spray but I still got bitten up... my husband didn't so I don't know if it was sand fleas or if my horse had flees. They were a bit pushy on selling the pics they took. They were expensive so just be firm of you don't want them. The ride itself was great!
Buyer beware. I highly recommend AGAINST this. The conditions in which the horses live are squalid by American standards. This company makes too much money for these animals to live like they do. There is no pasture but rather a mud pit in which they live. They are clearly malnourished and miserable. Only about 15 minutes was actually on the beach where the pictures are taken. The remainder of the ride was along a muddy dirt road lined with trash and on an asphalt road. One of the guides continually swatted the horses and made them trot and kept our group of 11 bunched together with our knees jammed into each other and each other's animals. I am an experienced rider but I don't like trotting continuously. It is neither relaxing nor fun. The handlers are terribly rough with the animals, not using care when pulling them about by their bridles. Imagine having a spoon in your mouth that you are unable to remove all day and having someone roughly pull you around by pulling on it. After the ride was over, we sat to look at the pictures. I spent this time pulling about 15 ticks off of the miserable little pregnant chihuahua. When we signed up for this tour our voucher said we would receive a free bottle of rum with our picture on it but the company refused to honor this. Instead they tried to make us buy the picture cd and the run for 65. The one hour excursion turned out to be almost five hours with the ride and the round trip transportation. The company falsely advertises what they offer as souvenirs. I would give zero stars if I could.
It was disappointing that they have been in business for 15 years and the experience was non-existent. I chose this excursion based on the picture to celebrate my birthday. Because the horses were on automatic, you had to be careful that they did not take your legs off with their need to be first in line. This happened every time the employees encouraged the horses to go faster. All we did was circle the beach twice before returning to base camp. Once was more than enough for everyone that took part. There were a lot of great photos taken. However, you could not buy the photos you wanted. They only wanted to sell the CD with photos of your entire party - people you did not know for a hefty price. I did purchase a magnet with a photo that turned out to be just a piece of paper. But at least I have something from the trip. Because the inclusion of rum with your photo did not happen. It came at a price even though the only requirement to receive my bottle was to give my voucher which I handed over to Oscar. At this point, I did not feel like correcting his error, we were all just ready to return to our destinations. I did not like the price gauging or being out there for half a day instead of a couple of hours. My birthday pre-celebration was ruined. I will never return or recommend this excursion. What's that phrase - You get what you pay for.
