This was a blast. the Monkeys are very friendly and entertaining. consider long pants and sleeves as the mosquitoes ate us up and you can not use bug spay, but well worth the money.
Absolutely one of the greatest tours I have ever been on. The drive there was so much fun, our tour guide Alex was so social and made us feel comfortable and prepared for what were going to do. The area where they took us to the monkeys was GORGEOUS almost breathtaking. Going to the monkeys was so much fun and an amazing experience. They're so light and fun. It's a once in a lifetime experience that i'd love to go to again! I would only wish we could stay with them longer and if they would've given us more food. But aside from that, it was amazing. The plantation safari was amazing. He took us through the whole process on how chocolate, coconut oil, and coffee is made. At the end, we tried each of the products made there and were offered to buy from them. One recommendation I would have is to put the products in smaller bottles because when traveling with only a carry-on, you can only have a certain amount of ounces. I would've bought from them if it weren't for the limit. Overall, on of the greatest experiences I've ever had, I would absolutely 100 highly recommend this tour for anyone of any age.
Highly recommend! The monkey's are so adorable and the facility is clean and the monkey's looked like they were healthy and well cared for.....Long drive, but interesting driving through the towns to get to the location.
This tour was absolutely amazing! Pick up was on time! It was a 50min drive down the country side of Dominican Republic. The tour guide keeps things interesting! The monkeys jump on you
This is an excellent tour. We took an open-air jeep, through many little villages, up the mountain to the monkey sanctuary. We met with the guide who explained that the monkey are human friendly but still wild animals. You are not allowed to pet the monkeys but it's okay because once in the enclosure the monkeys climb all over you. You are given a bowl of fruit and nuts and the monkeys climb on you and eat right out of the bowl. The monkeys have a large enclosure to live in and are allowed to live as they would in the wild. After the monkeys we walked, a short distance, to a cocoa and coffee plantation where they showed us how they harvest/roast and process coffee and chocolate. We had samples of the coffee and hot chocolate. Delicious. Special mention to our tour guide Nacho, who was funny and engaging. This tour is totally worth taking.
Really fun to play with the monkeys. I wish I would have bought more of the coffee and sugar at the coffee plantation.
This was an excellent tour with great guides. Be prepared because the monkeys are quick. I enjoyed the experience, it's a must!!!!!!!!!
Had a brilliant afternoon on this tour. Feeding the monkeys was amazing, they climb over your head and sit on your arms which was lovely! The coffee and chocolate part was very interesting, and the hot chocolate and fresh fruit were really tasty! Would definitely recommend.
This tour was great, except i wish we could've spent more time with the monkeys. The second part of the tour was fascinating. Book it, you wont regret!
Tour was fantastic. The monkeys are very friendly and follow you through the park. They play and jump on you. It is really a great time. If you get PJ for your tour guide you will have a blast.
We just returned from our week in Punta Cana, this tour was definitely a highlight. I recommend it. I don't think you can request a tour guide, but if you find a way to do so Patrice was wonderful. He was really knowledgeable and interactive with the kids.
This was an exciting and wonderful trip for my family. The tour guides were awesome. They were extremely friendly and really looked out for all of our safety. I would recommend you try this tour. The food at the end was wonderful. The meal was probably the best I had while visiting during my stay in the Dominican Republic.
Michael was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and an overall great person. Monkey enclosure was an amazing time. Ton of great picture opportunities. Must take excursion.
So much fun! The monkeys are so cute! I wish we could do it again today.
An amazing fun-filled day! We were picked up at the hotel promptly in a cool Safari-like Jeep. Took about an hour to get to Monkeyland, but it was a great experience. The monkeys are were energetic and smart, they picked the food they want first out of our bowls before climbing away! We got to take great pictures. Afterwards, we our tour guide introduced us to native plants and a cocoa plantation.
Loved this tour! The guide was wonderful and it was really nice to get to see a dominican house even though my whole reason was to see the monkeys. I did wish I could have played with them, but it was fun being so close to them.
Amazing tour. Monkeyland is so amazing and interactive, not rushed at all. The truck ride there and back was so informative due to our amazing guide Dario. The typical house time was great. Seeing the grower family first hand was very insightful and the family that hosted was so friendly and inviting
Fantastic once in a life time experience. Monkeys are adorable and sociable. Our guide, Nacho, was a lot of fun. He kept us well informed and entertained throughout the trip.
This was absolutely the best trip we could have imagined. Both Monkey Land and the plantation tour were great fun and our tour guide was awesome. If you're lucky enough to have Patrice as a guide, be ready for a very enjoyable time. He helped make the tour fun, and he was very accommodating and put in a lot of extra energy and effort to make sure everyone was having the very best time.
Aside from getting to bring monkeys home with us which probably isn't nearly as good an idea as it sounds, I don't know how this tour could have been any better!
Had a great time - best excursion our family experienced during our trip to the DR
This was by far the highlight of our vacation. Our tour guide, Reese, was hilarious and incredibly smart. He was able to communicate in several different languages to the different members of our group, so nobody felt left out. The monkeys were adorable, gentle, and very curious.
The second part of the tour was filled with information about cocoa beans, coffee beans, vanilla, paprika, cinnamon, and so much more. We were able to sample many different foods, and took advantage of the opportunity to buy some fresh cocoa and pure vanilla. So delicious!
The only disappointment during the trip was that the gift shop did not have my size M Monkey Land t-shirt, and they said I can't purchase online. Note to travelers that buy vanilla: This is the good stuff! The bottles are too big to put in your carry-on, so plan on checking a bag when you head home if you hadn't already.
This was a great experience. The staff was wonderful and the monkeys incredible! Our only complaint is that the Plantation tour was more of a sales pitch for merchandise. It was too long, and there were tons of bugs.
The Monkeyland and Plantation Safari Tour from Punta Cana surpassed our expectations. Our guide, Manuel Cruz, was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. Truly an amazing experience!
