Overview

Parasail 500 feet (150 meters) above the coast of Punta Cana, then go snorkeling off a party boat during this thrilling excursion. Don a safety harness and ascend into the sky, getting panoramic views of the spectacular Dominican coastline. Then, board a catamaran and set sail for a local snorkeling spot, diving in to swim with tropical fish among coral reefs. This excursion was amazing! We checked parasailing off our bucket list, snorkeled in aqua blue water and danced on the boat to our favorite songs. The staff was extremely welcoming and fun, especially Hitson. I highly recommend

I need a refund for parasailing. I paid for this service but never got it. Was told I was gettin one but it done been a week and nothing yet. I did this activity on 4/5 and was told because of the weather I couldn’t parasailing but would receive a refund.

Parasailing is a waste but go snorkeling and partyboat

Parasailing was a mess boat shut down so we couldnt parasail. We rescheduled with guide for the next day in the morning but did not receive a Confirmation, I emailed tour comany multiple times with no response about rescheduling but waited in the lobby just in case, no driver arrived, then rescheduled again for the afternoon, driver showed up but then got lost picking up 2nd group so it took 1.5 to get to the beach to parasail for less then 5 min and wasted half our day. Do yourself a favour and just go snorkeling and party boat.

Luis and the team provided a great time and fun experience. The boat ride out to the parasailing was a bit rough and the driver let two people off at the wrong stop and they missed the excursion. Please make sure you get off the boat the same place you for on. Don’t let them tell you differently. The rest of the snorkeling was great they did lead a few out to far with the strong current but still a great time

The absolute worst experience ever!!! To start we had to swim to the boat (and I do big swim into the ocean to start the excursion). To make matters worse, I did nothing that I paid for. No snorkeling and no parasailing. The guys stated that we could not do parasailing because of the weather which it was a beautiful day out, so I was very confused. He said the only other option I had was to swim with the sharks and stingrays. We were in the middle of the ocean so we literally had to swam for about 5-10mins (depending on how good of a swimmer you are). Once we got to the place where the sharks were, all we did was look down at them for about 5 mins and it was time to go back to the dock. Once we were back at the dock, we went to another part of the ocean, where we could stand (sounds weird, but that was literally what happened). The tour guide came over with one stingray and allowed us to pet it and be against our skin for about 10 minutes. Next we got back on the boat and went to what was called a “ natural pool” (same water we’d just left if you asked me). We stayed there for about 30-40 minutes and then headed back to our original meet up spot (the middle of the ocean). When I asked the guy why we were not doing snorkeling, he stated and I quote “because of the weather”. When I asked for a refund back, I only received a partial. I’m really pissed because this excursion wasn’t even worth it the headache I had afterwards.

The small space for the dolphins broke my heart

The tour was very good, and the crew were nice. The problem was to see these beautiful animals, the dolphins, in such a small space, that broke my heart. They are inteligent, they deserve to be free and it is a cruelty with them. I understand you guys need to work, but not causing suffering for these wonderful beeings, their place is the ocean and they need to swin freely, and we don´t need the mantas massage as well. You can provide a very good tour without these terrible situation for the animals.

Would NOT Recommend, they only care about how many people they can stuff on the boat and not if you actually enjoy it.

The parasailing was extremely stressful. Getting from the taxi boat to the parasailing boat was very chaotic. They transferred the 10 people from our taxi boat into the parasailing boat AT THE SAME TIME they were rushing about 6 people off the parasailing boat. The rocking from both boats was enough to lead anyone to be fearful of falling into the ocean or dropping any belongings. It was so chaotic that one couple they brought later on, decided not to even get onto the parasailing boat. Now we’re on the parasailing boat and it’s overcrowded and leaning to one side. Just when you start to get your nerves calm, the taxi boat comes with MORE PEOPLE to put ONTO the already crowded parasailing boat. Again they shift about 4 people off the parasailing boat and bring an additional 6 people onto the parasailing boat. We’re crowded, soaked from the water splashing into the boat and constantly having to shift around to accommodate more people getting in and out of the boat. At this point everyone is afraid to even bring our phones out of our bags for fear of them getting splashed or dropped into the ocean from all of the constant shifting and rocking from people getting on and off. Nobody got their own footage, thank goodness there was a photographer on board….. more on that later. Finally my turn to parasail, not that I’m any longer thrilled. The chaotic strapping up process is completed and now it’s time for takeoff. As I’m taking off, I slam into the engine of the boat so hard I thought I took the engine with me in the air. My only memories of this experience are from the bruise I now have on my lower back and the dark, useless photos I purchased from the onboard “photographer”. The photos are awful and so are my memories from this experience. Thank goodness there was alcohol on the boat for the second half of the excursion (the snorkeling), it was MUCH needed. The parasailing team was trying to make as much money as possible in a short amount of time and totally negated our quality of experience. I may have ptsd, will be sending my therapy bill over to them shortly.

Overpriced excursion for what it was. Very little time spent snorkeling and more time spent waiting around in the water. Parasailing boat broke as we were riding and the staff tried to send another group up knowing that it was broke and unsafe. I would definitely recommend not booking this excursion!

Y'all.....it was so much fun. Luis was a fantastic tour guide. I really didn't realize how little English was spoken here (stupid American), but Luis was very fluent and made sure we all understood what was going on. There was a hiccup with the parasailing boat, but they fixed it quickly and we all had a great time. Mucho, much much fun. Also, just a warning, when the van initially lets you out, it seems like your in a sketchy neighborhood...you're fine.. after a 30 second walk through some shops, you're on a beautiful beach.

It was a fun tour but the pickup took over an hour and the tour seemed poorly organized. However once we were on the boat for snorkeling it was fun.

If I could give them 0 I would and so would the other people who were supposed to be on this excursion. They say they are Tour Package Punta Cana, but guys shirt was Thom's Tours. They will try to communicate with you via whatsapp and your cell and avoid the viator app. 1033pm the night before they postpone from noon pickup (when tour is supposed to start) to 1230pm apparently due to the weather for parasailing (even though we could see parasailing launching from the marina they were located at) and then inform us we have to meet them outside the security gate (close to two miles away from our lobby). They request I confirm room number. At 1105pm I confirm room number and ask why the change in pick up time and location, but don't hear anything from them until 950am morning of the tour with the same exact message as the night before. 1001am they change pick up time changes to 1215pm. We get bellman to drive us to the security gate and when we get there at 1215pm, they change the pick up to 2pm and now they will pick us up at our lobby. 210pm trashed dodge caravan comes to pick us up and drives us to the marina. They bring us to their waiting area where we wait 30min with two other groups (one who did dune buggy tour of which they said was nothing what they expected) and another who had parasailed at noon and were still waiting to snorkely. 240pm we get shuttled out to parasail. We were up for no longer than 4 minutes and the four of us were back on shore by 3pm. We then sit there close to 30min and finally give up when we heard from the other couple that they had been there 2.5hours waiting to snorkel. We all tell the operator (Thom's Tours or Tours Punta Cana-the name on Viator) that we are leaving and that we would like a refund. We were told that due to the weather that's why we were postponed, even though Mike and his girlfriend (the other couple going snorkeling) had parasailed when we should've parasailed and there were two other operators parasailing that day. THIS IS A SCAM! They ripped us off for over $400 for what was supposed to be a parasailing and snorkeling trip. We parasailed, but for the $113 per person we expected at least a 10-20 min parasail. Oh and the driver of the boat texted while people were up parasailing. We asked for our money back and were told due to the weather (which was 87 and partly cloudy) that's why they postponed the parasailing. So my question why were they parasailing others at the time we were supposed to be parasailing and if the weather was so bad why were two other operator parasailing? Why didn't they start the snorkeling excursion first and then finish with the parasailing? All of these questions were given to them of which they use weather as an excuse. If you book with them, your only recourse will be to dispute your credit card charge, because Viator doesn't seem to have any means to dispute the charge and the operator surely won't refund you. Sadly the other two groups had also booked with Viator and are in the same boat.

Fun experience but long day

Started off on bad note. Never received reconfirmation email for pickup. Called or text no response. Pickup time was suppose to be between 11 and 1130a. Finally got in touch with tour operator, they forgot us. Arrived at loading 1220p. They fed us a small lunch chicken breast salad and roll with water. We didn't board until about 130p. Remember to take your stuff off you have to walk in water to boat. We paid had parasailing and snorkeling, disappointed about time doing activities. We didn't know others were stopping to swim with the dolphins so we had to wait on the boat, didn't enjoy the delay of my activities. Snorkeling was fun kids really enjoyed. After that we pulled in an area with alot of boats like a party area and we can swim. But we got out it was a black snake in water. They wasted time cause our parasailing was cut short. Parasailing was amazing. Host were ok. Got back to shore about 6p. Then the pictures $250 package sends to email I still have to get printed, ripoff.

The overall experience was amazing however the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of the photographer on the snorkelling tour. He’s very aggressive with wanting to take your pictures and his prices are ridiculous! $80 US dollars for DIGITAL pictures? That’s more than i paid for the Parasailling & Snorkelling combined. He also made a comment ‘don’t waste my time, my time is money’. With an attitude like this, I will never part with my money.

I loved the staff especially Luis who was very vibrant, and got the party started. The food was delicious! The only downside was we made a lot of stops, the wifi was unsteady so the music kept stopping, and there was a lot of waiting around for people to finish up their portion of the excursion

Whole experience was very disorganized. During the pickup we kept turning around, waiting and we didn’t know what was happening. We drove to several different hotels without picking anyone up. We met up with another driver at a random spot and didn’t know who he was. Luckily we were able to ask to see our names on a list and got in the car with the new driver. Once we arrived at the meeting point and throughout the experience we were given very little information about what we were doing, how long it would take, etc. The actual experiences were great, crew in the boat was friendly and the sites were beautiful.

Our guide and staff were really friendly and extremely courteous. This place was on the beach next to our resort ( the Lopesan) which was extremely convenient. I will definitely book with them again next year!! Drinks were flowing and the food was fantastic.

Cons: Multiple issues that nobody seemed to be able to resolve. We finally departed 3 hours after the scheduled time. The swimming with sharks and stingrays was awful - dolphins, stingrays and sharks are kept in small pens for the entertainment of humans. I felt mad at myself for missing that part in the description and supporting a company that does so. Snorkeling after (best part, but short). No parasailing (which is what we mainly went for) because they were too far behind. They couldn’t tell us what the hold up was (even with a Spanish speaking friend trying to make sense of it) and couldn’t tell us if we’d still be able to parasail (we wouldn’t have gone if we knew at the start). Pros: beautiful area.

Planned this event for my husband's birthday. It was definitely a party boat with free mixed drinks, fruit, and chips & salsa. Loved that there was other party boats and you could go into the water and mingle with other people or buy additional drinks from the floating bar. This event also included snorkeling with sting rays and sharks. Loved the parasailing, only wished it last longer.

Late pick up, unorganized, too many people, not enough deck hands, disregard for safety (somebody drove a work boat into the group of snorkelers, only 20 mins in the water, terrible drinks, too much money for pictures, swim with a shark and a sting ray, drunken frat beach party with way too many boats...people...loud, music from each boat that was different, and no organization for the transition to parasailing. When we got there...they put way too many people in the boat without having enough lifejackets.
