The tour leaders were exceptional, knowledgeable, friendly and made our day amazing. I think I liked visiting the native family the best and experienced their home as well as chocolate and coffee tasting. I would highly recommend this if you want to experience the area and native people and customs. Thank you for such a great day. Marie, from the group of 8 from New England.
What a day full of fun and adventure!! We couldn't have asked for better guides! Leo, Phillip, Nino, and Anya were wonderful!!! Thanks so much!!!
This was a great time, highly recommended. It was an awesome, cost effective way to fit several adventures into one day and the tour guides were great!
This was the best excursion I have every done! The staff is amazing, kind, and knowledgeable. It was so exciting to be able to drive a jeep and the day kept us constantly engaged. If you only do one tour while in Punta Cana, it should be this one!

This was an amazing day. We learned so much about the island and the culture. If you are planning on going to Punta Cana, I would hope that you would do this tour. It has a little bit of everything. Loved it!!
This was one of the best tours that we have ever taken. The stops were awesome and the people were very friendly and welcoming. The tour staff were great. Very personable and involved in the tour. If you only take one tour, make it this one. Take a bag of candy to pass out to the kids. They love it.
LOVED it. So much of the DR that you don and #39;t get to learn about or see if you stay in the resort area. Kept us moving and entertained all day.
This tour was a perfect mesh of knowledge and beauty. We loved every aspect of this excursion. If you want to step outside of the resort world and see the real Domincan Republic, take this Jeep tour! We learned so much about their way of life and experienced so many new things, and our guides, Jay and Phillip, were fantastic. They made us feel like we truly made new friends. Thank you for the overload of smiles! Happy Travels!
This was an amazing trip. We really enjoyed everything. I lived driving a Jeep through all the back roads and hills. Our stop at Christian's ranch was wonderful. We learned so much and he was great. We would definitely do it again if we return. Thank you so much for the experience
This trip was AWESOME! The guys were great! The information was endless. My 77 year old mother went with us and the guys were so polite and solicitous. If you want a day trip to learn all about Dominican Republic that includes most of the activities to be done in one day, this is it! It has going to the Mountains, learning about the land, people, fruits, plants, animals, culture, products: coffee, cocoa, honey, vanilla riding a horse for a short romp and a Zipline that is safe and certified, this is the trip for you! 5 Stars are not enough for these guys. I count them as friends now. Thank you!
Great tour led by a great host - Thanks Marco! A great day learning about the Dominican culture, seeing the sights, a little action on the ziplines and a relaxing meal to finish it all up. If you are looking for high-adventure, this isn't it. But if you are looking for a great day learning a little bit while you are on vacation this tour will soak you in a friendly, inviting Dominican homestead, beautiful scenery and friendly people. I would not miss this tour if you visit the DR!
Overall a fun experience and exactly what we were looking for as a way to escape the resort and learn about the Dominican Republic. Our guide Elio was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and helpful throughout our entire trip. He and the rest of the tour team made the best of a day where the weather didn't necessarily cooperate, but made sure that we were taken care of and got our money's worth.
Getting to drive through the tropical countryside away from the resort was really an immersive experience that we enjoyed so much. Our first stop took us to a visit with a typical Dominican family and getting to see how they live on a daily basis. The experience was humbling as it reminded us how much we have as Americans and yet how much they enjoyed their lives and appreciated all that they have. While we were there we got to meet all of their cute dogs, sample raw cocoa beans, natural ground chocolate, hot chocolate drink, coffee, bananas, mangos, and the native drink Mamajuana. All of the products were available for purchase and went towards supporting that family's farming business.
Our next stop was at a ranch where we got to ride horses through the property, over a small river, and back. Some of the horses had minds of their own and wandered off the path at times, but for the most part it was fun. The animals did look underfed though and we did not like that aspect of it. Following the ride, it started pouring so we took cover under the pavilion and waited out the shower with a shot of Mamajuana and some dancing. After the rain let up, we were able to go on the zip line which had three sections. Everything was very safe and the scenery was really cool to fly over. All the while, the tour guides are taking pictures that they post to their Facebook page within a few days for you to tag yourself.
After that, the guides took us to a tobacco plantation where we were able to view the process of rolling cigars and got to do the job ourselves! We were each given a shot of the warm chocolate drink and a small cigar to enjoy during our time there. You can also purchase cigars while you are there as well.
The last stop on our trip was at a more secluded beach where we enjoyed an authentic Dominican lunch of soup, white rice, and fried chicken. All of which were delicious! Again, the rain put a bit of damper on the afternoon, but we really enjoyed the food and had a covered table to sit at and relax.
After the last stop, we drove back to our resort and left the jeep with our guide Elio.
Overall we really enjoyed the trip. We did have to share our jeep with another duo that was on the trip as well, which neither one of us was expecting. I don't know if the tour company didn't have enough jeeps available or what happened exactly, but it was a small inconvenience as my wife and I were hoping for it to be just us. Either way, we made the best of it and alternated drivers and had a good time. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone staying in the area. Be sure to bring money with you to purchase any of the products along the way as well as to tip your tour guide.
This was a lot of fun for my family! Driving our own jeeps was much better than being on a bus! Enjoyed seeing the back country and the food. Everyone was very nice it was worth our time! I have 4 kids ages 16-22.
