If you want to experience the culture and have a great time doing it I highly recommend this tour. Kathy was our tour guide from Canada once we got to the ranch and she was perfect! Thanks Kathy for our wonderful day. She was very organized and had everything ready for us. If you want to see the country side, try your hand at making cigars or buy them and then go to her zipline, this is your adventure! Food was great and felt right at home.

We loved our Horseplay experience!!! Jose and his team were excellent. My husband and I had the best time and the weather was fantastic. The first stop was the cigar factory. We were able to observe cigar making and then were able to roll cigars ourselves. I don't smoke cigars but I still enjoyed the experience. Next stop after a short ride was to pick out and ride horses. My 1st horse was a little slow. However, my second horse was faster and I really enjoyed the return trip on the faster horse. We rode for about 30-40 minutes when we stopped for lunch. I'm a picky eater and not a fan of rice and beans but I loved the bread and the fried chicken. After lunch we were all fitted for our zip-line harnesses. We were able to ride the zip-lines twice. It's a fast ride through the banana plantation and over a small river. After our zip-line adventure we watched Jose hand grind roasted cacao beans with sugar and cinnamon. Then we all sampled the most delicious hot chocolate. The best that I've ever had. Next we all had a chance to try the Mama Juana and finished our luncheon experience with a group dance. So much fun. Make sure to bring U.S. Dollars to purchase the CaCao Mix, Sugar and Cinnamon sticks. The picture CD which includes all of the pictures and a video that the staff take while you're riding and zip-lining was available to purchase as well. Make sure to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and good shoes with closed toes for the riding and the zip-lining. Plan on spending the entire day and enjoy the sites on your bus ride. Tell Jose we said hello from Los Angeles!!!

We had a fantastic time! This is not your run-of-the-mill pony ride. We rode for almost an hour through the river, forest and fields to get to the pavillion. Expect to get dirty. The guides were all so friendly and the food was great. We ziplined over the trees and river. Highly recommended. D and J from NC

We had a blast. Jose the event leader was both knowledgeable and entertaining. The food was much better that the resorts. We have a great time rolling cigars and learning about the cocoa beans. The Mamawana was the best and ziplining took my breath away. The horses were great and perfect for novice riders. This is certainly a do-over excursion.

Delicious lunch, homemade on a plantation was the best food I ate my whole trip! The horse ride was fun, but let them know right away if you have experience so you can get a good horse. And make sure to sign up for the cattle drive, some people get to go off separate and I wish I would have known. Overall, a very pleasant day and great experience!

Amazing experience! My husband, me and our 11 year old daughter went on this tour on 21st of July. we were picked up promptly at our resort lobby, hopped on a open aired truck, which was refreshing comparing to the air conditioning coach, the driver and the guide took us through towns to see local life, and destination was a cigar factory. We were offered cigar tasting and rolled a cigar by ourselves. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. We were then led to our horses, the guides pair you up with the horse according to height and temperament. My horse was Memo, and my daughter got a shorter horse, but quite playful. My daughter can't stop petting hers! We were then trotted through wilderness to a hilltop area, where we were served the best cooked Dominican food. The rice and beans are to die for! Thanks to Kathy! We did our ziplinning after lunch, and it's super amazing. We were then being shown where coacoa came from, have a taste of the raw coacoa seeds, which tastes like Lychee, very refreshing. Then shown how the coacoa beans were roasted and ground up. We were offered samples of fresh ground coacoa with cane sugar, and hot coacoa drink. a little bit of Merengue and we headed back to the cigar shop on horses. then the truck back to the resort.
Everything was great! It's not a 20 minutes horse ride, it's a full 2 hours! The guides are friendly, informative and helpful. Exactly what we hope for. I will go back again!

this tour was amazing! The length of the horseback riding is great and you visit a cigar factory where you are able to make your own cigar! you ride your horse for close to an hour and then you arrive to a place where you are served a full dominican lunch--fried chicken. spaghetti, coleslaw, soup, beans and rice, bread, etc. You then proceed to the zippiness--there are only two lines but they get the job done and its a great view. They also allow you to go as many times as you please! You ride the horses back and before you go..you try pure cocoa and cocoa beans and their signature mamajuana drink! They even turn on some music and get some dancing going on for a little bit.

We truly had a wonderful time. The people are amazing, the food was delicious, and beautiful horses. After having an awesome lunch we went zip lining and we could do it as much as we wanted to which I thought was sweet. We rolled cigars I learned about how they make Coco.
