Great Value and Great Overview of Santo Domingo
Amy_W, Sep 2022
This is absolutely a great tour with a great overview of Santo Domingo. In the beginning, it was a little bit chaotic, a little bit of my fault as well, as the meetup point was outside the main gate of Bahia Principle resort (I did not even know there was the main gate as I arrived at the resort at night and we were right at the resort main lobby). Afterward, there were quite a bit of few pickups including a long stop at a gas station. I explicitly asked for an English guide. Our tour guide asked if everyone speaking Spanish (in Spanish), and many people replied "si", then he started talking in Spanish. I approached him and advised him we only understood English. Afterward, everything went smoothly. It had many stops, including the Colonial Zone, the Colon Lighthouse, El Conde Street, and Los Tres Ojos Lake. A pretty nice lunch was included. There were two relatively long stops at souvenir stores, as we were not pressured to buy, I did not mind that (even though I would prefer to wander somewhere else if I knew how long the stay would be). Overall, I think it is a great value of what we received.
Good tour but day is long to much waiting about.
Alisonpitman_P, Sep 2022
This was a long day, most of which was swapping and changing buses there and back we left at 7.35 got back to hotel at 8.35 pm. Restaurant we visited for lunch was beautiful food a plenty. The sights we were shown were fantastic and David our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke fantastic English so we understood everything he was telling us. Unfortunately for us (not the tour operators fault) we had Amercas next top models on our trip who spent far too much time doing photo shoots putting us behind a lot!!
Love it

Exploring Santo Domingo
Nayira_P, Aug 2022
My guide was very knowledgeable of the history of Santo Domingo. He translated between English & Spanish. He was friendly and charismatic and made sure we got all of our questions answered. The drive to Santo Domingo seem reasonable and after a day of exploring it was long with stops to drop off people at their perspective hotels. We explored a lot of sites along the same streets and a nice surprise was the park where musicians come play. I enjoyed every bit of the tour …. Bring water and dollars/ cash because people live of the tips & tourism in the land.
Great tour @ great value
macolady, Aug 2022
This tour was a pretty complete package w/ hotel pickup & drop off, visiting various sites, lunch at at a great value. We enjoyed the historical aspects. The driver was prompt and courteous. Thank you Roberto! I think it would have been better for us and easier on our tour guide to have a smaller group and speak in only one language. Our guide, David, did an amazing job but had to say everything 3x... in Eng, Spn, and French. It got tedious and dragged things out. Also it was frustrating that with such a large group... most of us would be back on the bus at the time stipulated yet we were stuck waiting on late stragglers. Once or 2x is okay but at every single stop we had to wait 10-20min for late-comers which wasted a lot of time. Still we enjoyed it very much as we were not aware of the significant role Sto Domingo had in the New World. Would recommend it to anyone interested in history. The staff was incredibly kind and patient with everyone.

Not worth the long bus ride from Punta Cana.
Richard_G, Aug 2022
I enjoyed the Trs Oyos caves. That’s about it. Bus ride was over 4 hours from Punta Cana. The city is very dirty and we were constantly asked for money.

4 stars for the guide. Travel agency is pure chaos. When I asked for baby car seat, they literally gave me one without a base to fit to. Funny as fk. Anyways was a good experience knowing about santo Domingo city
Nice trip!

Santo Domingo Day Tour
Margarita_R, Jul 2022
Santo Domingo 1 day Tour from Punta Cana. The transportation transfer service was exceptional. They sent a text message the day before arrival. I was not staying at a local resort or hotel. Our 1st driver stopped at various resorts to pickup the other tour travelers! He then took us the main gathering point. We waited there for about 15 minutes and was put on a bigger bus with additional tour travelers. I want to say a special thank you to our driver. So sorry, I didn’t get his name. He ensured our safety, we know how it is to drive in this country. The midway point the driver stopped and allowed passengers to use the restroom, have some coffee and purchase souvenirs. We arrived in Santo Domingo at our first of many stops. Our history lessons began with a tour of Monumento Natural Cueva Los Tres Ojos. Wow, such history and beauty. I will warn you it’s a lot of climbing stairs. Then we proceeded to Zona Colonial, visited Parque Colón, Panteón Nacional and so much more. We did stop for lunch at a delicious restaurant where had a Dominican Buffet lunch. I had braised chicken, mangu, boiled plantain, salad, moro rojo and refreshment of choice. This stop was a well needed break and rest. After lunch we continued, in total we spent 5+hrs of site seeing. It was well worth the money. The highlight of the day was our tour guide Victor! He was knowledgeable, pleasant and charismatic and made the tour enjoyable. I must add we had a group of 32+ tour travelers. That’s not easy to keep together, but he did. Thank you again too our official tour concierge/guide Mr. Victor for ensuring our safety and movements to each location. Another FULL day of touring! Note: Recommendations: Please give tips to your guides and driver!

Amazing experience
Cynthia_R, Jun 2022
The sites were amazing. The cave was my best experience even with the stairs (felt like a million) but beautiful view and history, the authentic food was delicious. The tour guide was amazing. I did not care for all the walking I wasn't prepared for it clothing wise(shoes) There was nothing that said we would be walking the town for over an hour.

My disappointment
aechols2002, Jun 2022
The main reason I pick this tour would see the cave. To my disappointment, we did not go to the cave.

Very bad
Mario_C, May 2022
The tour had two different guides, the first was rude and disrespectful with the people. They didn't take us to the places that were advertised like the Three Eyes Park and La Atarrazana Restaurant, please revise your provider. We never had an experience like this any of your tours.

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!
Angelica_S, May 2022
If I could give them no starts I would. What a waste of an entire day. First they were late to pick us up. Then, although you are not told this, you are walking for over 2 hours in the blazing sun to see nothing but 2 churches and 3 stores that all sell the same things. The rest of the places on the list they point out to you from a distance. the only nice stop was the Malacon and that's because you stop there for 10 minutes and you see the beach, you take a picture and you jump right back on the bus. At the end of the day which s about 4:30 you start your trip back. After making stops for bathroom and for a short break, we made it back to the hotel at 8:15 that night.

A Long Day
Susan_B, May 2022
The tour was certainly interesting but it was a long day (>13 hours), the majority of the time spent in a very uncomfortable, ramshackled bus which the passengers had to push start on one occasion. Lunch was very good. The tour would have been enhanced by further explanation and planning by the guide in terms of time at each stop. Probably good value for money
